Composite Numbers A whole number, greater than 1, that has more than 2 factors. 3. Binomial The sum of two monomials. 4. Monomial A number, variable, or the product of a number and one or more variables. 5. Trinomial The sum of three monomials. 6. FOIL Method To multiply two monomials, find the sum of the products of the first terms, the outside terms, the inside terms, and the last terms. 7. Degree For a monomial, the sum of the exponents of its variables; for a polynomial, take the greatest from the individual monomials. 8.
