--Event Reports will be discussed. You will attend three academically-related campus events this
semester. For TWO event reports you MUST present evidence of attendance in the form of a signed business card
from the presenter and a paragraph describing the event and telling what you learned. If you sign in and remain at a
SARC or DRS event, the presenter will send your instructor an attendance report that takes the place of a signed
business card. OTHER campus services DO NOT provide attendance reports.
For ONE of the event reports, you must complete a longer written report form (WIKI “Event Reports”) and supply
evidence of attendance. You may choose the order in which to submit the three reports.
***Poster Session Topics are listed in WIKI “Poster Sessions” A poster session rubric is also found in WIKI,
“Poster Sessions.” Use the rubric to plan your presentation and your poster; the rubric is used to grade both.
It’s a good idea to review the rubric even if you are not presenting at the first Poster Session.***

assignments during your college career. You will be using a particular career or a particular major for a
search topic, so give thought ahead of time to something you would like to learn about. You will
complete a worksheet that Dr. Luckett will collect (with the other homework) in the library.
In COMPUTER CLASSROOM 235-C, try to seat yourselves so that those familiar with database
protocols are sitting next to those who are not familiar with them. Dr. Luckett will be inside the main
entrance to direct you to the classroom, which is behind the library café.
