Commissioning of the feedwater controller in Quad Cities (Exelon),
unit 2, USA (see below).

Lead Engineer at the modernization of the feedwater controller at
Exelon/Quad Cities, USA. Production of system design documents
(system description, logic diagrams, I/O-list and process displays)
and other technical coordination during the project. The system is
implemented in an ABB AC450 with S800 I/O and an ABB AS500
OS. Engineering is performed in an ABB AEW.
Also, Einar produced a process model using Matlab/Simulink. The
model is based on physical data and from identification of measured
data; the validation of the model was done against measured data.
After this, the model was converted manually to a real-time
implementation in ABB AC450.
2000-11-01 – 2001-02-28 / Westinghouse Atom AB, Västerås
Production of a process model of the feedwater system in
Exelon/LaSalle, USA, using Matlab/Simulink. The model is based on

Project ”O1 MOD” for Oskarshamn 1. Reinforcement of the Lead
Engineer group concerning the practical implementation of the
automation platform as a whole (hardware, version management,
bus configuration, type circuits etc) Used equipment was from the
ABB Advant family: AC450 AS500 OS, AC160 and AEW.
2000-03-01 – 2000-08-31 / Westinghouse Atom AB, Västerås
Project ”Platform 2000” for Forsmark 1 and 2. The purpose of the
project was to unify version management for AC450 and AS500 OS.
Einar was responsible for the database driven engineering tool AEW
and for the management of the AC450 nodes (approx 20
nodes/unit).

ABB ATOM AB, Västerås
Group Manager for application development. The group had 4
employees and 3 – 4 consultants, and was responsible for the
development and standardization of automation hardware and
application design. The group also provided general support for the
technical and sales offices in general development and engineering
tool issues.
In parallel with the group manager assignment, Einar was also
involved in tool issues within nuclear specific as well as in TOPs
(work process optimization within corporate ABB), he was the IT
coordinator of the division and worked with the bid process for the
DCS bid to Ringhals 1’s total modernization.
Engineering Manager responsible for design processes and
detailed design (1996 – 1999). The assignment comprised e.g.
• Personnel responsibility for 10 – 17 employees
• Handling of 5 – 10 consultants
• Responsible for setting salaries
• Tool development (monitor and implement Advant tools, push the
development of elMaster Power Concept).
