Character User Interface (CHUI) Calendar:
There are various times when an operator is entering a Date, Opening a Journal, entering a Promise
Date, an Invoice Date, or a Check Date.
The function below allows you to easily select, enter and compute the date you need to enter.
Selecting the date in this manner will return it to the field you are positioned on (such as the Journal
Transaction date).
Here’s how:
Positioned on the Requested Ship Date field Range on the Header of an Order Entry Sales Order:
When positioned on the date field, pressing the <F12> Lookup will display a calendar, defaulting to
today’s date.
Pressing <PF1> GO will place the current date, July 16, 1997 in this example, into the Requested Ship
Date field.

Selecting Dates Other than Today’s Date:
Use the <UP/DOWN ARROW> and <RIGHT/LEFT ARROW> keys to highlight a specific date. To load that
date into the date field you started from, press <PF1> GO.
In addition to moving around in the current month, you can also access calendars for the previous and
future months and years as follows:

press the <DOWN ARROW> key past the end of month
press <PAGE UP/DOWN>
press the <RIGHT ARROW> key past the Sa column
you press the <LEFT ARROW> key past the Su column

To look forward or backward a specific number of days press <SHIFT> <+> or <-> and the following
window will appear :
Although ‘Days’ defaults, you can override this by entering w in this field to search by weeks. In the field
to the left of the Days or Weeks field, enter the number of days or weeks you wish to advance and press
<ENTER> to automatically advance the calendar to the correct month and day.
