Proper collection and disposal of garbage (solid wastes) in coordination with SBMA’s Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Unit at 252-4309. 2. Practice good housekeeping and waste minimization at the area 3. Strictly require all contractors/subcontractors, agents and workers to observe proper waste disposal and proper sanitation 4. Strictly observe no mixing of scrap materials with garbage during disposal Republic Act No. 6969 or the Toxic and Hazardous and Nuclear Waste Control Act of 1990 1. Proper storage, handling and disposal of hazwaste in accordance with RA 6969 guidelines 2. Hazwaste Hauler/Transporter to secure and process Hazardous Waste Transport Record (HWTR) at the SBMA Ecology Center prior to hauling of hazwaste 3. Strictly comply with SBMA directives on land-based disposal of hazwaste only (no disposal activities by sea) 4. Submit / implement Oil or Petroleum or Chemical Spill Contingency Plan or Emergency Preparedness Plan or any document to that effect. R.A. 6969 and Republic Act No. 8749 or the Philippine Clean Air Act of 1990 1. Provide abatement measures to avoid air pollution 2. If activity will produce a considerable amount of dust, apply dust mitigation measures and practice good housekeeping at the area, e.g., assign sweepers at site 3. If activity will require the use of genset for more than fifteen (15) days, apply for Permit to Operate (PTO) Air Pollution Source Installation 4. Apply ventilation or other air pollution control measures at affected area, if applicable. 5. Undertake proper maintenance of equipment and use mufflers or other applicable noise-reduction or emissionreduction measures. 6. If applicable, secure Environmental Clearance from EC by submitting a Dust Control Plan as attachment to the Application for Environmental Clearance..(Application Form available at EC and also downloadable at www.mysubicbay.com.ph ) Republic Act No. 9275 or The Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 1. Collection of sewage shall be done thru an SBMA-accredited sewage hauler 2. Sewage Hauler to secure SBFZ Permit to Transport Effluent, Septage and/or Sewage (SBFZPTT-ESS) at the SBMA Ecology Center prior to loading of sewage to tanker trucks. (Application Form available at EC and also downloadable at www.mysubicbay.com.ph ) (A corresponding Certificate of Treatment or COT shall be submitted thereafter) All Other existing and applicable environmental laws, rules and regulations, both national and international, such as SBMA Seaport Instructions, MARPOL, UNCLOS, etc. 1. Provide abatement or mitigating measures to prevent or control any type of pollution or nuisance issues coming from the activity. 2. For transfer of logs or other natural resources controlled by the DENR, secure letter from EC for endorsement to DENR of all documents related to: importation/shipping via Port of Subic, for DENR’s appropriate and continuing action. For other forms of extraction of natural resources, submit copy of related permits and clearances required by other national and international agencies, as required by law. 3. Secure Environmental Clearance at EC, if so required by Seaport Dept. or other SBMA departments or national government agencies, e.g., for bunkering or fuel loading activities, etc. (Environmental Clearance Application Form available at EC and also downloadable at www.mysubicbay.com.ph ) 4. Comply with existing permit conditions/undertakings, ECC, CNC or SBMA Certificate of Accreditation or other forms of official agreement as proof of authority over the concerned area and as legal basis for engaging in such activity. 5. If cargo is suspected as possibly containing hazardous or toxic substance or with potential to cause pollution, provide copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the cargo specified herein. 6.
