The SG Marketing Department strives to provide the best services to everyone we work with. We will do our BEST to make SG, and its many events, as successful as possible.
We would like to avoid ALL unnecessary conflicts that may arise by utilizing a good line of communication. We are working everyday to ensure an honest and responsive work environment for SG.
All requests need to be submitted in WRITING in the time frame specified for that particular request. Please do not ask this department to do anything unreasonable. We will ensure the same courtesy to all branches, agencies, and student organizations. We will work together to spread the unified spirit of SG throughout the USF campus and the
Tampa Bay community.
Outreach :
Outreach can be considered the face of Student Government Marketing. The
Outreach team consists of an Asst. Director, Street Team Manager, Media
Specialist, and a Copy Editor. They handle all activities that deal directly with the student body. Outreach will attend, assist in promotion, and even help to organize events held by SG or that require SG attendance.

Our Copy Editor and Media Specialist are here to assist you in you public relations needs. Press releases, copy editing, and target market research is a service that they can provide.
For event promotion Outreach will engage the SG Street Team to provide smiling faces and SG enthusiasm at all SG related events.
The Marketing Department will provide promotional items (t-shirts, pens, pencils, etc.) for SG events. If the SG tablecloth, banner, tent, or display board is needed, the Outreach team can provide you with these items. Please return all unused promotional items as well as reusable items in the same condition they were provided in.
Design:
The Design team is responsible for all imagery and design associated with SG.
This team consists of an Asst. Director of Design and Layout and a Graphic
Designer.
You may go to them for flyers, advertisement design, letterhead, brochures, etc.
Unfortunately, our Graphic Designer cannot cater to specific wants, due to the demands of the job. If you have ideas or suggestions, please refer to the Asst.
Director of Design and Layout.
Advertisements, especially Oracle ads, are filled on a FIRST COME, FIRST
SERVE basis. The SG Marketing budget allows for an average of two full page ads in the Oracle a week. These ads may be broken up into different ad sizes.
Depending on the availability, your request will be run through the Design Team as well as our Media Specialist and Copy Editor.

All materials need to be returned as soon as you are finished using them. Please return all tablecloths, tents, and unused promotional items. These are investments SG has made and are useful for other events.

The Marketing Department is striving to create a positive image of SG for the student body. Please advise your staff or members to restrain from publicly arguing at SG events. We know that there will be disagreements about SG issues, but we have to keep it professional. Also, please have all volunteers arrive on time to all events, with the proper SG attire.

Please refer to the visual identity standards when creating any event, advertisement, promotional items, etc. Submit materials and questions to Marketing for review to guarantee all guidelines are being followed correctly.

The Marketing Department is here for SG to utilize. Let us know what it is you need or want! We will do our best to make it happen. If you communicate with us, things will work more efficiently. We would appreciate it if you take the correct chain of command when frustrating situations occur. If you have a concern about anything, please contact us directly (email, letter in mailbox, phone, etc.). We are shaping our policies and want it be most effective for SG.
