URL
URL stands for Universal Resource
Locator. It is the address of a web
page.
HTTP
The Hypertext Transfer Protocol is an
application protocol for distributed,
collaborative, hypermedia information
systems.
FTP
File transfer protocol is a protocol used
to transfer things from one computer to
another one
Domain Name
The part of a network addresses which
identifies it as belonging to a particular
domain.
Path Name
A pathname is a string of characters
that describes what directory the file is
in, as well as the name of the file
Search Engine
a program that searches for and
identifies items in a database that
correspond to keywords or characters
