Complete a Change Request Form Student Loans • Entrance Counseling – For first time borrowers – Expires annually • Master Promissory Note – For first time borrowers – Expires every 10 years • Exit Counseling is required when a borrower: – Does not attend – Graduates – Enrolls/Drops below 6 hours of enrollment To complete these requirements visit www.studentloans.gov The Financial Aid Office generally receives completion confirmation within 1-3 business days. Grants A Federal Pell Grant is money the government provides for students who need it to pay for college. Grants and Institutional Grants, unlike loans, do not need to be repaid. Eligible students receive a specified amount each year under this program. What happens if I drop a class? – A. YOU MAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAYMENT of the difference between the money received and the amount specified for the new enrollment status. • Q. What happens if I withdraw? – A. YOU MAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAYING the money received from financial aid. – If you drop a class/withdraw, you must make sure you remain in compliance with our Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy. – If you have received student loans and you fall below 6hours/withdraw/do not enroll, your 6 month grace period will begin.
