10. Plural Possessive Adjectives
Possessive adjectives show ownership or relationship. In English, we say my orange or her shelf. In French, many
adjectives change their form depending on the noun they describe. Each subject pronoun corresponds to a set
of possessive adjectives. Here are all of the English possessive adjectives.

In English, we say, "That is my orange." We also say, "Those are my oranges." In French, because the adjectives
change based on the noun they describe, we choose which possessive adjective to use based on the number of
objects that are owned. Adjectives that describe plural nouns are:

Plural possessive adjectives will always be showing ownership of or relationship to more than one thing, or to a
plural noun.
