Opening Doors to Bright Futures for Kids
7, 6 3 5
“We cannot
always build
the future
for our youth,
but we can
build our youth
for the future.”
Bryan Slaughter and Jacki Bryant
That is how many kids,
families and child care
providers were able to
build a better future
because they were part
of the ReadyKids
family this past year.
Kids are born with every expectation of a successful
future. But, unfortunately, challenges like poverty,
unprepared caregivers, lack of opportunity, trauma, and
more can create barriers along the way. Helping kids
overcome these barriers to achieve a future that’s full of
hope and promise is what ReadyKids is all about. Our
programs support, teach, counsel and coach so that kids
have the very best chance to reach their fullest potential.

There is no better way to invest in the future than by
investing in today’s kids. Together, let’s continue to create
a tomorrow where Every Kid is a Ready Kid! Ready to

Life.

Our Kids = Our Community
Our future and that of the Charlottesville community depends
on kids being ready to be productive, successful adults. And
although most kids in our community thrive, too many face
challenges from an early age. Here’s a snapshot of kids and
