Colby and Adams 4 hours of CE offered Sponsors From the Conference Committee Chair and Dean Gerhardt Schurig Dear Veterinarian: On behalf of the Conference Planning Committee and the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the second annual Potomac Regional Veterinary Conference (PRVC) being held in Crystal City, Va., at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel from September 28-30, 2012. This conference is quite unique in our region as this is now a continued collaborative effort of the Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and District of Columbia Veterinary Medical Associations. This regional association has been strongly aided by the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine with the full support of its Alumni Society. The bonding of these four veterinary medical associations makes sense not only by geography but also by their association with the VMRCVM and its teaching hospital. Furthermore, many VMRCVM alumni reside and practice in this region as well. Last year marked the inaugural PRVC in Washington, D.C. Next year’s meeting will be in West Virginia at the Greenbrier. The PRVC 2012 will have three separate continuing education tracks: small animal, equine, and public/corporate practice offering up to 18 hours of approved CE credit. We have a diverse group of internationally known speakers from across North America and the VMRCVM who promise to send you back to your practice with clinically applicable knowledge that you can use immediately. We want to personally thank our six sponsors: Elanco, IDEXX Laboratories, Merial, Novartis Animal Health, Nutramax Laboratories, and Pfizer Animal Health. Without these corporate sponsors and the help of the VMRCVM, this meeting would not be possible. We will also have a full exhibit hall and plenty of time between lectures to mingle with our sponsors and exhibitors. Please join us in thanking these supporters of PRVC 2012. So, please mark your calendars for the weekend of September 28-30, 2012. We promise to engage you with first-class, state-of-the-art continuing education in an amazing hotel adjacent to our nation’s capital. We further promise great food, fun, and fellowship with your colleagues from across the region. In addition to a welcome reception, Virginia-Maryland “Town Hall,” and a tailgate party that we have planned, there will also be some time for you to experience the history, arts, culture, and restaurant life of Virginia and DC. We hope to see you there! Sincerely, Bill Tyrrell, DVM, DACVIM-Cardiology PRVC, Conference Chair Gerhardt Schurig, DVM, Ph.D. Dean, VMRCVM Conference Details Pre-Registration Deadline: August 15, 2012 Fee Includes: Spouses & Guests: Hotel Reservations Parking Metrorail Stations The 2012 Potomac Regional Veterinary Conference offers a total of 54 hours of continuing education: 18 in small animal, 18 equine and 18 in public practice.
