for First Time Freshmen Out of State Students
OPTION 1
19 units from Core 4 Curriculum
Minimum 2.00 overall GPA (on 4.0 scale)
Need no more than one developmental course*
And one of the following:
Minimum 2.00 GPA on Core 4 Curriculum
ACT Composite 20 or SAT 940 (Reading & Math combined)
OPTION 2
ACT Composite 20 or SAT 940 (Reading and Math combined)
Minimum 2.00 overall GPA (on 4.0 scale)
17 or 18 units from Core 4 Curriculum
Minimum 2.00 GPA on Core 4 Curriculum
Need no more than one developmental course*
OPTION 3
ACT Composite 23 or SAT 1050 (Reading & Math combined)
Minimum 2.00 overall GPA (on 4.0 scale)
Need no more than one developmental course*
*NOTE: To meet developmental course requirements, must
have a minimum ACT English of 18 or ACT Math of 19; or SAT Reading of
450 or SAT Math of 460; or COMPASS Writing of 68 or COMPASS Algebra of 40.

Physical Science, Integrated Science, Physics I or II,
Physics of Technology I or II, Aerospace Science, Biology
II, Chemistry II, Earth Science, Environmental Science,
Agriscience II, Anatomy & Physiology, or approved
Advanced Science Substitute
4-Social Science Courses*
Civics or Am Gov’t (1/2 unit)
Free Ent or Econ (1/2 unit)
American History (1 unit)
Two units from: World History, World Geography, Western Civilization,
AP European History, Law Studies, Psychology, Sociology,
African American Studies, or approved Social Studies
substitute. Note: Religion I, II, III, IV are approved
substitutes for optional courses.
* Universities may admit 2012 high school graduates who have not met the Arts Category of the Core 4, but otherwise meet the minimum admission standards.
