Introduction
The purpose of this course is to provide you with an introduction to atomic and
molecular structure, as well as molecular properties. We will also discuss general
principles of reactions including stoichiometry, equilibrium and some thermodynamics.
The overall goal of this course is to adequately prepare you for CHEM 231 (CHEM II –
Organic Chemistry I), which will cover introductory organic chemistry, including organic
structure,organicreactionsandorganicreactionmechanisms.
