COLLECTION FOR THE CHURCH
IN LATIN AMERICA/CARIBBEAN
SHARE YOUR FAITH
Today, we will take up the Collection for the Church in
Latin America. Your gift to the collection will fund
catechesis, youth ministry programs, and seminarian
education in Latin America and the Caribbean. One
participant in catechetical training, Andrea, said that the
experience was informative and enriching—the
catechists were able to meet each other and share their
diverse experiences. The support you give today will
fund formation programs and provide opportunities for
years to come.

ST POLYCARP MEN'S ANNUAL RETREAT
St.Polycarp’s Annual Men’s Retreat will be held at
Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center on March 28, 29, and 30,
2014. Please join your fellow parishioners for this
weekend of spiritual enrichment and growth.
The Passionst Retreat Team offers inspirational talks on
the theme as well as time for quiet prayer, Mass,
Confession, and Stations of the Cross. The theme this
year is “The Road to Emmaus …. Companions on the
Journey”.
The suggested donation is $215.00 ($50.00 deposit).
The retreat begins Friday evening with a buffet supper
and concludes Sunday after Mass.

MISSION STATEMENT
We, the parish of St. Polycarp, a Roman Catholic Christian community in the Diocese of Orange,
are of one faith and one spirit in many faces and cultures.
We are called to bear witness to the good news of Jesus Christ, to give worship to the Father,
to form a strong bond in the Holy Spirit, and to welcome and serve others.
ADULT MINISTRY:
RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a
formal program of catechetical instruction, ascetically
practice (prayer and spirituality), and liturgies whereby
adults — calls catechumens — are formally admitted into
the Church and receive the Sacraments of Initiation —
Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. (The
Sacrament of Penance is received later since baptism
washes away all sin — original sin and actual sin.) The
"Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy" of the Second
Vatican Council decreed, "The catechumenate for adults,
comprising several distinct steps, is to be restored and
brought into use at the discretion of the local ordinary.
By this means the time of the catechumenate, which is
intended as a period of suitable instruction, may be
sanctified by sacred rites to be celebrated at successive

Charities Ladies Auxiliary on their 40th anniversary, on

SPECIAL REQUEST: The Orange Diocesan Council of
Catholic Women (ODCCW) is collecting socks, scarves
and make-up for Catholic Worker residents, both adults
& children.It is time to start collecting Teddy Bears for
the children who visit their parents on Mother’s and
Father’s Day. These teddy bears are an emotional help to
the children who see their parents, maybe once a year,
with the Get On the Bus Program. Only teddy bears
(approx. 12” are acceptable). All items can be left at FSC
for delivery. Your support means so much to those
families in need! Thank you!
Toiletries: We are running low on toothpaste,
toothbrushes and disposable razors! Thanks for your
help!!!
FSC is a satellite office of the Santa Ana Life Center.
FSC provides pregnancy testing, information, and
referrals for assistance. Life Center is always in need of
regular size towels and face cloths. Used maternity
clothes, baby clothes, and other baby items are also
needed. Please consider donating any extras you may
have. All donations are Tax Deductible. FSC delivers
all donations to the Life Center.

Misión Parroquial
Nosotros, la parroquia de San Policarpo, Iglesia Romana Católica, comunidad en la Diócesis de Orange,
somos uno en nuestra fé y espíritu con diversos rostros y culturas.
Hemos sido llamados a ser testigos de la Buena Nueva de Cristo Jesús, para glorificar al Padre,
y formar un lazo fuerte con el Espíritu Santo, y dar la bienvenida y servír a nuestros semejantes.

BAUTISMOS PASOS :
Papás y padrinos, deberan asistír el primer Domingo del mes a las 10:00 am para registrar a su
hijo(a) y al mísmo tiempo para tomar la clase
requerida.
Padres: Traer una copia del certificado de nacimiento de su hijo(a). No traiga el original.
Padrinos: Traer una copia del acta de matrimonio
de la Iglesia donde se casaron.
 El Segundo Domingo de Cada mes es la
Ceremonia del Bautísmo a las 2:00 pm.
 Habra una segunda platica el Jueves despues del
Bautizo a las 7:00pm.
Costo $50 por niño; $25 si solamente toma la

COLECTA PARA LA IGLESIA EN AMÉRICA LATINA.
Hoy realizaremos la Colecta para la Iglesia en
América Latina. Su donativo en la Colecta financiará
catequesis, programas de pastoral juvenil y la
educación de seminaristas en América Latina y el
Caribe. Andrea, una líder que participó en la
formación catequética, dijo que la experiencia fue
informativa y enriquecedora—los catequistas
tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerse y de compartir
sus diversas experiencias. El apoyo que usted dé hoy
día financiará programas de formación y ofrecerá
más oportunidades en los años venideros. Por favor,
apoye a la Iglesia en América Latina y el Caribe y

RETIRO ANUAL PARA HOMBRES
Los caballeros de nuestra parroquia tendrán su retiro
anual en Sierra Madre en la casa de retiro de los
pasionistas, el fin de semana del 28, 29, y 30 de
Marzo del 2014 a los pies de las montanas de San
Gabriel. El equipo de pasionistas nos guiara a
renovar nuestra fe y la perspectiva de la vida. La
donación para este retiro es $215.00.

SỨ MẠNG CỦA GIÁO XỨ.
Chúng ta là những giáo dân Giáo xứ Thánh Polycarp, Giáo Hội Công Giáo Rôma, Giáo phận
Orange, cùng nhau chia sẻ một niềm tin và một thần khí trong nhiều sắc dân và tập quán. Chúng ta
được kêu gọi để nên nhân chứng Tin Mừng của Chúa Kitô, được kêu mời để tôn thờ Thiên Chúa
Cha, được thành hình trong sức mạnh của Chúa Thánh Thần, cùng đón tiếp nhau và phục vụ mọi
người trong tin yêu.
THÔNG BÁO CỘNG ĐOÀN
1- Rửa Tội cho các em nhỏ.- Giáo xứ sẽ Rửa Tội cho các
em nhỏ vào lúc 2giờ30 chiều Chúa Nhật ngày 23 tháng 2
năm 2014. Lớp hướng dẫn cho Cha Mẹ và người Đỡ Đầu
vào lúc 1giờ30 trưa cùng ngày. Xin liên lạc cô Chu Ngọc
Dung, (714) 891 – 1859 để biết thên chi tiết.
2- Huynh Đoàn Đaminh họp.- Huynh Đoàn Đaminh
Vinh Sơn Liêm của Cộng đoàn sẽ có buổi sinh hoạt vào
3giờ30 chiều Chúa Nhật ngày 23 tháng 2 năm 2014 tại
phòng họp thường lệ. Kính mời các Đoàn viên tham dự
đông đủ.
3- Ngày Giáo Xứ chầu Thánh Thể.- Giáo xứ sẽ chầu
Thánh Thể vào ngày Thứ Hai, 24 tháng 2 năm 2014. Cộng
đoàn sẽ có 2 giờ chầu lúc 3giờ chiều do Hội Cầu Nguyện
phụ trách và 8giờ tối do Ban Giáo lý Song ngữ và Ban
Việt ngữ phụ trách. Kính mời Cộng đoàn tham dự.
4- Thánh lễ Thứ Tư cuối tháng 2-2014.- Thứ Tư ngày 26
tháng 2 năm 2014 là Thứ Tư cuối tháng, Giáo xứ sẽ có
Thánh lễ bằng tiếng Anh và tiếng Việt vào lúc 6giờ30 tối.
Kính mời Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa tham dự.
5- Buổi sinh hoạt tìm hiễu ơn gọi.- Hội Bảo Trợ và Phát
Triển Ơn Thiên Triệu của Cộng đồng Công Giáo Việt
Nam Giáo phận Orange sẽ có một buổi sinh hoạt tìm hiểu
ơn Thiên Triệu được tổ chức từ 6giờ30 chiều đến 9giờ tối
Thứ Sáu ngày 28 tháng 2 năm 2014 tại Trung Tâm Công
Giáo. Buổi sinh hoạt dành cho các bạn trẻ từ 14 tuổi trở
nên. Thân mời quí bạn trẻ có chí hướng dâng mình phục
vụ Chúa và Giáo Hội, hoặc muốn tìm hiểu ơn gọi, sắp xếp
thời gian để đến tham dự. Xin quí phụ huynh nhắc nhở và
tạo điều kiện cho các con em tham dự.
6- Chương trình Mùa Chay của Cộng Đoàn.- Chương
trình phụng vụ Mùa Chay của Cộng đoàn năm 2014 như
sau:
• Thánh lễ Thứ Tư Lễ Tro ngày 5 tháng 3 năm 2014 lúc
8giờ tối.
• Ngắm Đàng Thánh Giá vào mỗi Thứ Sáu trong Mùa
Chay lúc 6giờ chiều.
• Thánh lễ có học hỏi về Mùa Chay lúc 6giờ30 các tối
Thứ Sáu trong mùa Chay với các đề tài;
-Ngày 7 tháng 3: “CẦU NGUYỆN và NGHE LỜI
CHÚA”.
-Ngày 14 tháng 3: “ĂN CHAY và BÁC ÁI”.
-Ngày 28 tháng 3: “NHỮNG NHÂN VẬT QUAN
TRỌNG TRONG KINH THÁNH”.
-Ngày 2 tháng 4: NHỮNG ĐOẠN KINH THÁNH KHÓ
HIỂU.
-Ngày 9 tháng 4: “MÀU NHIỆM VƯỢT QUA CỦA
ĐỨC KITÔ”.
• Tĩnh Tâm Mùa Chay: Với đề tài “HÀNH TRÌNH
NÚI SO” và “BẢY LỜI SAU CÙNG CỦA CHÚA
GIÊSU” Có Chầu Thánh Thể, Giảng Phòng và
Thánh Lễ vào các ngày:
-7giờ tối Thứ Năm 20 tháng 3 năm 2014.
-6giờ30 tối Thứ Sáu ngày 21 tháng 3 năm 2014.
Xin Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa sắp xếp thời gian tham dự
đông đủ.
7- Ghi danh đóng góp cho chiến dịch “Chúa Kitô Vĩnh
Cửu” .- Giáo xứ tiếp tục kêu gọi quí thành viên trong
Giáo xứ ghi danh đóng góp cho chiến dịch “Chúa Kitô
Vĩnh Cửu” của Giáo phận để hỗ trợ cho các công tác
như: phát triển khuôn viên và tân trang cơ sở Nhà thờ
Chánh tòa Chúa Kitô của Giáo phận, giúp quĩ Mục vụ
Giáo phận, giúp quĩ giáo dục Công giáo, giúp quĩ Linh
mục hưu trí, trợ giúp những Giáo xứ địa phương. Chỉ tiêu
của Giáo xứ st. Polycarp đóng góp cho Giáo phận trong 4
năm là $1,065,000. Hiện sồ gia đình đã ghi danh đóng
góp là hơn 600 gia đình. Số tiền hứa cho cả 4 năm vào
khoảng $890,000. Số tiền đã đóng cho Giáo phận là
213,000. Xin Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa nhiệt liệt hưởng ứng
và tiếp tục ghi danh gởi về Giáo xứ để đức kết gởi về
Giáo phận. Gia đình nào chưa ghi danh tham gia xin
nhận bao thư ở cuối Thánh đường. Xin ghi đầy đủ chi
tiết, bỏ vào giỏ cuội tuần, hoặc gởi nơi Văn phòng Giáo
xứ, hay gởi thẳng tới tòa Giám mục Orange.
8- Cộng đoàn lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót.- Để
đáp lại Mạc Khải Lòng Chúa Thương Xót, Cộng đoàn tổ
chức lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót vào lúc 3 giờ
chiều mỗi ngày, kể cả Thứ Bảy và Chúa Nhật. Trong giờ
lần chuỗi chiều Thứ Sáu đầu Tháng có chầu Thánh
Thể và Khấn Lòng Chúa Thương Xót. Các ngày Thứ
Sáu trong tháng có khấn Lòng Chú Thương Xót. Rất
nhiều người xin khấn đã được ơn như ý, hoặc các ơn
khác đã đến tạ ơn. Rất mong Cộng đoàn dân Chúa tham
dự mỗi ngày. Nếu không thể tham dự tại Thánh đường,
xin hiệp ý và lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót lúc 3giờ
chiều tại nhà.
