How To Get There:
Plan ahead and take your time; it’s a beautiful drive.
It’s substantially further north than Ocala, so you’ll expect to see traces of Winter
everywhere. You could see snow—not saying you will, but you could if
you have a photo of Aspen Colorado in your wallet or car.
Moose or Caribou or Elk---not
You could see
saying you will, but you could…..bring
your photo album.
You can even stop off in downtown High Springs for coffee and ice cream at the
Great Outdoor Restaurant or the quaint coffee shop next door, if you wish. That
will allow time for the snowplows to clear a path to Ft. White. Some people travel
with a set of snow chains in the trunk of their cars. Although you might not need
them….I’m just sayin’……
From Gainesville, take I-75 north to the Alachua Exit (Exit #399) and head westerly
on US 441 all the way into High Springs (approximately 6 miles).
Stay on US 441 and continue north through High Springs. Travel approximately
another 8 or 9 miles north on US 441. You’ll pass Oleno State Park on your right.
About 1 mile past the entrance of Oleno State park, you’ll come to CR 18 on left.
Turn left (West) onto CR18 and travel about another 2.5 or 3 miles. On your left,
you will see a church sign at an intersection pointing toward Tustenuggee UMC.
Turn left (South) onto “Tustenuggee Avenue.”
After turning left onto
“Tustenuggee Avenue”, travel 1 mile and you’ll see the church, “Tustenuggee
United Methodist Church” on your left.

New members on LWE Board: Our Emmaus Community has been blessed with
great leaders and volunteers who share their time and talents in service to the
Community. These are folks just like you and me but who carve out a bit of their
time to insure that our Gatherings happen and that the Walks have teams who are
prepared to serve Christ by serving the pilgrims during their Emmaus Walk. Take
a moment to pray for these wonderful folks. While you’re on your knees, take a
moment and pray a prayer of praise and thanks for the leaders of the previous
Boards who have navigated our infant Community to where it is, now. See the
