Strategic Business Needs



Improve overall access to reporting on research data:

Enable more efficient analysis and informed strategic decision support

Provide simpler processes for combining central data with local data

Build a foundation for Business Analytics and Business Intelligence
Deliver common reporting avenues and instruments:

Fixed Purpose (“canned”) standardized reporting

Guided Analysis (“parameter driven”) reporting

End-user, self-developed (“ad-hoc”) reporting and data mining
Include historical data:

Enable projection and identification of trends for consideration in the
development of future strategies
