The Department of Zoology was founded in 1921 by professor A.V. Fedjushin.
Specialists are trained in three specializations: «Zoology», «Zoology of Invertebrates» and «Zoology of Vertebrates».
By post-graduate courses specialists are also trained in «Zoology» and «Entomology».
