Read label carefully and obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood.
Handling Precautions: Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or in contact with the skin. May cause damage to the hepatic and alimentary systems.
Suspected of causing genetic defects. Avoid contact with the skin and do not breathe vapours. Wear protective clothing and gloves and use
personal protective equipment as required. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product
and wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use
First Aid: If skin contact occurs remove contaminated clothing and wash with plenty of soap and running water. If swallowed rinse mouth but do
not induce vomiting. If inhaled remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. For advice, or if you feel unwell,
contact the National Poisons Centre 0800 POISON (0800 764766) or a doctor immediately. If medical advice is needed, have product container
or label at hand.
Environmental Protection: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Harmful to the soil environment. Avoid release to the environment.
Collect any spillage.
Disposal: Preferably dispose of product by use. Otherwise treat the product so that it is no longer toxic and dispose of product and packaging at
an approved landfill or other approved facility. Triple rinse empty container, crush or puncture and bury in a suitable landfill, or if appropriate
recycle.
Directions For Use:
Water treatment: Administer through the water supply at a rate not exceeding 0.1 mL/50 kg bodyweight per day (equivalent to 10 mg elemental
Se/kg live weight/day). Maximum dosing rates are:
50 kg ewe = 0.1 mL per day
400 kg cow = 0.8 mL per day
500 kg cow = 1 mL per day
Oral drenching: Drench animals no more frequently than every 3 weeks at a rate not exceeding 1 mL/50 kg bodyweight (equivalent to 0.1 mg
elemental Se/kg live weight/day. Maximum drenching rates are:
25 kg lamb = 0.5 mL
50 kg ewe = 1 mL
100 kg calf = 2 mL
200 kg yearling = 4 mL
300 kg yearling = 6 mL
500 kg cow = 10 mL
Do not administer more than seven 3-weekly doses per year.
For dairy cows that are drenched daily during milking, use the rates described as for water treatment above.
Addition to supplementary feed: Mix thoroughly into supplementary feed to supply no more than 0.1 mL/50 kg bodyweight per day (equivalent
to 10 mg elemental Se/kg live weight/day). Maximum dosing rates are:
50 kg ewe = 0.1 mL per day
400 kg cow = 0.8 mL per day
500 kg cow = 1 mL per day
Warning:
Only use where selenium deficiency has been diagnosed and do not use at the same time as any other selenised fertiliser, prill or product without
consulting a veterinarian. Contact your veterinarian for more information and do not exceed stated dose and frequency. Frequent monitoring of your
stock’s selenium status with blood and/or liver testing is recommended.
Store in the original container tightly closed, locked up, away from
direct sunlight and below 30oC.
