48 Teacher’S Guide Common and Proper Nouns Possessive Nouns Introducing Possessive Nouns Within these lessons your students will learn proper use of possessive nouns in our language. Often even the strongest grammar students can struggle with singular and plural uses, which is why it’s important for them to be comfortable with the basic plural noun rules first. Whatever time you decide to devote to each lesson, Please allot time at the beginning of each class for review of singular and plural possessives (using raffle tickets as reward for proper identification of the possessive forms is a good motivator). There are two charts included with spaces for student responses. Those are good for daily review too. Objectives : Level One: Students will identify singular possessives. Level Two: Students will review singular and learn plural possessives. Level Three: Students will use singular, plural, compound, and joint ownership possessives. Materials: Chart for singular possessives, chart for plural possessives, noun flashcards, 3 levels of interactive reproducible worksheets, pyramid game, three mazes (one for each level), baseball activitygame, continue using noun flashcards T 2.
