(Note: many campuses email recommendations directly to your student

the recommendations selected specifically for you for the upcoming

are not in good standing
may experience a delay
in registration resulting in
limited class availability.
3 Schedule an individual meeting any time during the weeks of registration
with a member of the academic staff.

Orientation to Online Learning
Online Attendance
All first time online students must successfully complete the
Orientation to Online Learning course before starting their first
online class. This orientation will teach learners how to use all of the
tools within CampusConnect, our new online learning environment.
CampusConnect is a comprehensive virtual campus that will allow
students to access all of their online course and school resources in
one convenient location. The Orientation to Online Learning course
will be facilitated in CampusConnect by the campus Online Learning
Coordinator (OLC) who is available to assist students with completing
the orientation successfully and preparing them to begin their first
online class.
Online courses will be available Monday, March 31st 2014 at 8:00
AM for students who successfully completed their online orientation
course. Students must log into each of their online classes within the
first 72 hours (three days) of the quarter to validate the accuracy of
your registration.
Please know that all students should start the orientation course within
72 hours of receipt of their orientation invitation email. Students will
receive an email at their student email account with information on
how to start the online orientation. Please contact the Online Learning
Coordinator or the Helpdesk for assistance with logging into your
student email account. Contact information for all campus level Online
Learning Coordinators can be found at the end of this document.
Attendance in online classes is taken Monday through Sunday
of each week. Students must actively participate in each of their
online classes in order to show attendance. Participation includes:
discussion board postings (submitting and replying to others),
submitting an assignment, completing a quiz, completing a test
and group discussion and file exchange. The minimum attendance
requirement is 1 day of attendance per week. Perfect attendance
for online classes will be measured by meeting the discussion board
requirement on a weekly basis in each online class for every week of
the quarter. Undergraduate students who meet the mark in all of their
courses (residential and online) during the quarter will qualify for the
Perfect Attendance award, which includes a certificate and 20% off
textbooks charged to student accounts in the following quarter.
Online System Requirements
Online courses require a high level of interaction and participation in the course environment. It is highly recommended that
students have their own computer equipped with the system requirements in order to succeed in online courses:
