Trivial but interesting Fact: What does the expression
'Give them the whole nine yards!' mean?
In this project you are to be put in groups of ____ and develop a 'Rat Trap Racer' for
speed.
Here are a few of the design and build restrictions:
1. The only propulsion source is the trap.
2. No kits to be purchased.
3. Everyone have fun ( Participate)
What needs to be done:
1. Brain storm your ideas and write them down in point form ( Oh yes, everyone
in the group do this please). Look up information on the intranet using the
google search engine. Document(record links) information on design ideas.
2. Draw up your design in pencil. Please label your drawing with information like
date, group name, title, parts labelled and your name.
3. Assemble your design and prepare to have it tested. This means to verify and
test your unit for repeated and best results. Remember practise makes
perfect, make a log of your test results ( remember to keep everything, failed
attempts and modifications, to prove that your device does function)
4. During test phase (competition) record your time results and who you
competed against.
5. Assemble all your information with title page and hand it in. Make sure the
title page has the following things on it:
1. Drawing
2. Date
3. Title
4. Your name
5. My name
