Dear Faculty Member:
The student named on the attached recommendation form is applying for a position as a peer tutor in the
Academic Resource Center in Milledge Hall. We ask that you complete the attached form so that we may better
assess the applicant's competence in the academic subject area he or she has applied to tutor.
In addition to your recommendation, the applicant will be evaluated on information provided in his or her
application and essay as well as subject specific GPA and overall GPA.
In recommending the applicant, please consider the skills and knowledge necessary to support the Division of
Academic Enhancement in providing academic support and supplemental learning resources for UGA students.
We seek academically successful tutors who can also communicate and instruct effectively to engage and
appropriately challenge tutees to foster learning.
