Everyone knows Mozart’s music, but what of the mystery involved in his murder? That’s what portends for all who enter the theater and the realm of intrigue, Mozart’s most famous works and the drama of his bitter enemy, Antonio Salieri as he confronts him on the musical battlefield, where only one can survive. Experience the challenge in a show worthy of your consideration. Looking for a Cast of 13 Males and 13 females to play a variety of roles. Monologues encouraged, will read from script for auditions. As we are performing the show with taped music with some live performances, the show will play like a Musical. Looking for the following Cast Types: 6 leading males ages 20-55 Antonio Salieri – very dynamic performer with full range of emotions and subtly Wolfang Amadeus Mozart- dynamic, flamboyant, and uninhibited younger male Hopefully has piano playing ability Emperor Franz Joseph II - statuesque comedic performer Count Von Swieten- One of the pompous three, most sincere of the three Count Orsini-Rosenberg- One of pompous three Count Von Strack- One of pompous three 3 females ages 18-50 to play Constanza- Mozart’s wife, if she can sing all the better (2) Venticella- Salieri’s confidants, must be stylish, if they can sing all the better Female Soloists (3) Sopranos Each will have featured solos in show, one will sing the famous Queen of the Night aria from the Magic Flute. Will also sing in the chorus and play variety of roles Male Soloist (1) baritone/tenor Solos and duets in the show, which includes a section from “Marriage of Figaro,” “Cosi Fan Tutti,” and “Don Giovanni” Will also sing in the chorus, play variety of roles (2) Female Ballet dancers Will also appear in chorus (1) Male Ballet dancer Will also appear in the chorus Chorus of 5 Males and 5 Females who will play small roles within the play.
