Valued investors, partners, and members of Partnership Gwinnett and the Gwinnett Chamber:
Thank you for another successful year and your commitment to Partnership Gwinnett. Your remarkable support and
continued investment in Partnership Gwinnett enables us to compete and grow in this dynamic community. I am
grateful for our community’s strategic guidance and support in helping us build our successes for decades to come.
2014 was a year of great momentum for Partnership Gwinnett. We launched a private fundraising campaign, aimed at
accelerating our five-year economic growth strategy. The success of this campaign will enhance our recruitment and
retention efforts and create new partnerships to attract, educate and retain workforce talent, and improve quality of
life for county residents.
We had 23 project wins that translated into more than 1,600 jobs across five target industries. A few of these wins
include Haso Ltd. (170 new jobs); United Arab Shipping Company (160 new jobs); and Dasan USA, Inc. (150 new jobs).
We also visited more than 100 existing companies, including national brands such as Cisco and Ericsson, to learn
more about their current and future growth plans. Our goal is to help these companies maximize any opportunity
our community has to offer. However, our efforts to create and retain jobs did not stop in Gwinnett. Through global
business mission trips to Europe and Asia, we met with economic development prospects and existing companies to
explore partnerships and international expansion opportunities.
Small business and entrepreneurship played a major role in our acceleration this year, with the formation of the
Gwinnett Angels, an official chapter of the Atlanta Technology Angels. The development of livable communities,
connectivity and the value of public private partnerships drew record-number attendance on both our annual
Redevelopment Peer Tour and at our Redevelopment Forum.
It’s a fact: Successful communities act on clear, realistic goals, with the support of strong leaders and active citizens.
As we prepare for another year, let’s continue to deliver on our goals—to drive a brighter economic future for our
community. I look forward to our continued success.
