It is made of a soft, quilted fabric and intended for babies that are from 15 to 35 pounds. The child seat is attached with straps that wrap around the carrier’s hips and shoulder. “Playtex Hip Hammock” is printed on a label sewn into the front of the carrier. All model numbers are being recalled. Model numbers 05300, 05301, 05302, 05306, 05307 and 05308 are sewn into the inside panel below the instructions for use. They come in basic and deluxe styles. The hip hammock’s fabric is suede or ultrasuede in black or navy colors on the outside, and the inside lining is black, black and white check or burgundy. 305,000 of the carriers have been recalled in the US, and 36,000 in Canada. They were sold at Burlington Coat Factory, Target, Walmart, juvenile product, baby and discount stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com from June 2004 through December 2008 and January 2010 in Canada for about $40 for the basic model and $60 for the deluxe model. Reason for the Recall The buckles on the waist and shoulder straps can crack or break, creating a fall hazard. The convertible car seats and harnessed booster seats made from 2009 through July of 2013. If you own a Graco SnugRide infant car seat, you are not impacted. The 16 inch doll is packaged with a toy medical check-up kit including a stethoscope, feeding spoon, thermometer and syringe. The doll’s electronics cause her to babble when she gets “sick,” her cheeks turn red and she starts coughing. Using the medical kit pieces cause the symptoms to stop. “My Sweet Baby” is printed on the front of the clear plastic and cardboard packaging. The doll is identified by UPC 6-04576-16800-5 and a date code which begins with WM. The date code is printed on the stuffed article label sewn into the bottom of the doll. The dolls were exclusively sold at Walmart from August 2012 through March 2014 for $20. Reason for the Recall The circuit board in the chest of the doll can overheat, causing the surface of the doll to get really hot and creating a burn hazard.
