Aerospace Technology AS – SpaceTEC certification (aka Aerospace Technician)
Must meet one of the following criteria in order to receive the SpaceTEC certification:
-Have a two year technical college degree
-Have/had a two year technical military assignment
-Hold a FAA Airframe/Powerplant certificate
-Two or more years of on-the-job training and experience in the aerospace industry
People who hold a SpaceTEC Certified Aerospace Technician Certification may be awarded as many as 25 credit hours –
free of charge – in the Aerospace A.S. degree. Credit may be awarded after the student has completed 12 credit hours in
the program and demonstrated competency. Credits may be awarded in: AFR 1100 Introduction to the Aerospace
Workplace, ETIC 1853 Aerospace Safety and Quality, ETIC 2851 Applied Mechanics, EETC 1005 Basic
Electricity/Electronics, ETIC 1830 Materials and Processes I, ETIC 1832 Materials and Processes II, and ETIC 1852
Aerospace Tests and Measurements.
Cost: $500 (includes: Prep Course, Pre-test, 3 part exam, one written exam re-test.)

Interior Design Technology AS – NCIDQ: National Council for Interior Design Qualification
Education: No less than 60 semester hours of interior design coursework that culminates in a certificate, degree or
diploma + 5,280 hours of qualified interior design work experience. This can be completed in about three years if
you work full-time.
Exams: Interior Design Fundamentals Exam (IDFX) - You can apply to take this exam as soon as you have completed your formal interior
design education. Beginning in 2013, you do not have to have completed your work experience before taking this section.
Interior Design Professional Exam (IDPX) - Before you can apply to take the IDPX and the practicum exam, you must complete
all your acceptable work experience.
Interior Design Practicum (PRAC)

Interior Design Technology AS – Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD)
Eastern Florida State College's Interior Design program is certified by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA –
www.nkba.org). Courses in the Kitchen & Bath Specialization college credit certificate prepare students with knowledge
needed to pass the Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD) exam.
