Get to know UCSB
Established in 1970, the Environmental
Studies Program at UC Santa Barbara is one of the
oldest and largest programs in the nation, and is
recognized as one the most successful
undergraduate environmental programs in the
world. The "green", environmentally conscious spirit
is a part of life at UCSB. Daily more than 15,000
cyclists traverse seven miles of bikeways on or
adjacent to UCSB to attend classes and campus
events. Less than 20 percent of UCSB students drive
to campus.
