Step 4: Information for Creating your Conflict Free Timetable
STEP 4: ENROL IN COURSES WHICH CREATE A CONFLICT-FREE TIMETABLE
Complete the Timetable Planner using this Timetable Information and the Timetable Listing. Write
down the following information in the appropriate day and time slots:
A. The Subject and Course Number
B. The 4- or 5-digit Class Number for each class, lab, tutorial, and/or exam centre (Distance Studies
courses).
Follow the above steps for each course you wish to take.
Restricted or Prioritized Courses
When you select your course(s), consult the Notes section of each course in the Timetable. If constraints (i.e. priorities or
restrictions) have been set, they will be described in this area.
Course Load: The maximum load for most programs/modules is 5.0 courses per year (with no more than 5 courses in each term).
Ensure that you select alternative courses, in case you cannot enrol for your first choice because it is already full. If you are
unable to register in a course because it is full, please note that enrolment numbers may change due to students adding and
dropping courses. Please check the online timetable periodically to see if space has become available.
Course Restrictions
Course Locations Restrictions
Course Residency Requirements
The following notes appear most frequently:
“Priority” - Students in specific degrees and
programs/modules have the first opportunity to register
in these courses. If you are not in those degrees and
programs/modules, you cannot select those courses
until July 23, 2009 for most courses, unless otherwise
identified in the Notes of each course in the Timetable.
If you are a Main Campus student:
■
you may take up to 1.0 course per year at an
Affiliated University College, provided that the
course is not offered at Main Campus. Courses
are subject to restrictions and may require
approval prior to enrollment. Students must
have permission from their Faculty to exceed
1.0 course at an Affiliated University College.
■
and are registered in a program/module offered
solely at an Affiliated University College, you
may take any courses required for that program/module at the Affiliated University
College.
■
and are part-time taking only one course, that
course must be taken at main campus.
Exceptions may be granted by special permission if the desired course is only offered at an
Affiliated University College or scheduling on
main campus would make it impossible to select
any course during the Fall/Winter session.
Contact your Faculty to request permission.
“Restricted” - Only students in specific degrees, modules
and programs may register in these courses. These
restrictions will not be lifted during the June to
September Web registration period. If you want to take
the course(s), but are not enrolled in the restricted
degree, module and program for the course(s), you must
wait until the September paper Add/Drop period to try
to add the course.
Note: Some restricted courses never lift their restricted status.
“Permission” - Access to the course is restricted unless
students receive special permission from their home
Faculty. For example: “MAIN CAMPUS STUDENTS
REQUIRE HOME FACULTY PERMISSION.” Once permission has been granted, the student must contact the
helpline to enrol in the course. Call the Helpline at
519-661-2100, press 1 and 1.
Always check the online timetable for up-to-date course information.

Step 4: Conflict Free Timetable
Important
You are responsible for checking course
requisites prior to course selection and
adhering to restrictions. If you are unsure of the
requirements, please check the 2009 Academic
Calendar.
Prerequisite, antirequisite and corequisite
checking may be performed by the University
during or after you have made your selection.
Beginning and End Times
of Classes
Class lectures, laboratories, tutorials, clinicals and
seminars always finish 10 minutes before the end
times that appear in the Master Timetable.
For example, if the Timetable indicates that a class
begins at 8:30 am and ends at 9:30 am, the class
actually ends at 9:20 am.This gives you 10 minutes to
get to your next class, if it starts at 9:30 am.The 10minute interval between classes normally gives you
enough time to get to your next class.
Your course selection may be deleted without
warning if you do not have the requisites and
you do not have prior written special permission
waiving the requisites.

www.registrar.uwo.ca for the most up-to-date information.
It is the student's responsibility to be familiar with and understand
all the University regulations contained in the 2009 Academic
Calendar; to understand how adding and dropping a course or
courses, withdrawal, etc., affects a tuition fee account; and to
ensure that tuition fees are paid in full without any notice from the
University. Refer to the Student Financial Services section of the
2009 Academic Calendar for detailed information about tuition
fees, compulsory ancillary fees, supplementary fees and other
charges. You may also access this information on the Web at

in academic and financial penalties. For more information, refer to
the ACADEMIC SANCTIONS, DEREGISTRATION and REINSTATEMENT
sections of the 2009 Academic Calendar.
A student's registration is dependent upon payment of fees
and academic eligibility.
Students are considered full-time if they register in 3.5 credits or
more and will pay full-time undergraduate fees. Students will pay
part-time undergraduate fees on a per course basis if they are registered in less than 3.5 credits during the Fall/Winter session.
Failure to complete the registration process during the designated
online registration period will result in a late registration fee.
Tax certificates (T2202A) for the tuition portion of fees will be
available on-line through the Student Services website at the end
of February each year. Watch the Registrar's Website (www.registrar.uwo.ca) for details. Income tax slips for scholarships, awards
and bursaries (T4A) will be mailed at the end of February to eligible students.
Course Cancellations
When courses are cancelled because a minimum enrollment quota has
not been met, the full tuition paid will be refunded to a student, if
applicable. Every attempt will be made to assist the student in finding
an alternative course of study. No interest is paid on refunded tuition.

student.uwo.ca. A student who for any reason is unable to pay
fees by the due date must contact Student Financial Services 519661-2100, for a discussion of a possible deferment.

REINSTATEMENT sections of the 2009 Academic Calendar.

If you have applied for OSAP, have submitted all necessary
documentation by June 30, and your entitlement in September is
enough to cover your first term fees, your tuition owing will
automatically be deferred. It will not be necessary for you to
return your statement of account to Student Financial Services.
You must pick up your OSAP/Government student Loan at the start
of the session and take it to the NSLSC/Postal Outlet to complete
payment of your fees. Loans must be picked up promptly to avoid
a late payment charge.
However, if you applied for OSAP after June 30, and have not
received confirmation of your loans you are responsible for paying
the first installment by August 1, 2009 (Year 1), August 15, 2009
(Upper Years).
If Student Financial Services receives your application by October
15th, your OSAP application will be assessed for the entire 20092010 study period and you may receive loan assistance for the
entire period.
If your application is received after October 15th and no later than
90 days before the end of your study period (January 30, 2010),
your financial need will be assessed from the date your application
was received to the end of your 2009-2010 studies, and you may
receive assistance for that period.
If your application is received less than 90 days before the end of
your 2009-2010 study period, you will not be considered for OSAP
assistance.
The amount of fees owing will be recorded on your loan document
when you pick it up in September. This assignment of tuition
informs the National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) of the
amount of money that should be directed to Western. If Western
does not receive these funds from the NSLSC, you are responsible
for all outstanding tuition.
If for any reason you receive notification that OSAP has been
denied, you must pay your tuition fees by the due date.
You must pay the first instalment or full tuition fees by the due
date on your statement of account or a late payment charge will
be assessed. Other academic sanctions, such as your course
registration being deleted, or sealing of your academic record, will
be assessed against students who have not paid their fees or
arranged for a deferment by September 1st.
You may pay your tuition fees in full, or pay a first instalment of
70% of full tuition fees. The final 30% instalment will be due in
early January 2010.
If any portion of tuition fees is still owing after September 30th, 2009

a deferred payment charge will be assessed. The charge for full-time
students is $52.00; part-time students pay $10.00 per full course.
If you have previously been deregistered by Western, you must pay
the total tuition balance in full by the due date, by certified
cheque, money order, or debit card payment.
Receiving Your Loan Document
Your first loan document will consist of 60% of your OSAP
entitlement, which is available in September.
The other 40% will be available in January.
An assignment for the first instalment of your tuition fees will be
recorded on your September entitlement and will appear in the
middle of your loan document above your signature.
If your September entitlement is not enough to cover the first
instalment of tuition fees, the full loan document will be assigned.
Students who do not pay the full amount of tuition by September
30th, 2009 will be assessed a $50 deferment charge.
The assignment directs the National Student Loan Service Centre
(NSLSC) to forward the assigned funds to the University for
payment of your tuition fees. Any balance of your loan will be
deposited into your personal bank account. If the NSLSC does not
forward the assigned funds to the University you are immediately
responsible for all outstanding tuition.
You must complete the Confirmation of Enrolment attached to
your loan and return it to Student Financial Services
immediately in order to receive your second loan installment in
January.
Picking Up Your Loan Documents
For dates and locations of loan distribution please refer - in August
- to the Student Financial Services website at
www.registrar.uwo.ca.
The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities requires that
you must show your Social Insurance Card plus one of the
following: Passport, Provincial Health Card with photo, Permanent
Residency or Citizenship card, Age of Majority Card, or Driver’s
License, when picking up your government student loans.
If you have lost your Social Insurance Card, you must apply for a
replacement card through your Canada Employment Centre. You
will be required to take in your Birth Certificate to the Canada
Employment Centre and pay the appropriate fee. You will then be
asked to provide proof of application when picking up your loan
and government issued documents.
Confirming Your Enrolment
I Will Not Attend Western During The 2009-2010 Academic Year, But
I Have Been Assessed an OSAP Entitlement. Do I Need To Notify The
University?
Yes! You are considered to be a registered student. If you wish to
cancel your registration after web registration closes on August 8
and before September 12, 2009, you must do so in writing to
Student Financial Services, WSS. If you wish to cancel your registration after classes begin, you must submit a request in writing to
the Dean or Academic Counselling office of your Faculty.
will be charged tuition fees and will remain registered in all courses until Western has been notified. Academic and financial penalties will be assessed in accordance with Western’s pro-rated refund
schedule and add/drop deadlines if notification is received after
August 8, 2009.
If you have decided not to attend Western and/or have withdrawn
from your program, or if you choose not to cash the loan(s), you
must return all documents to Student Financial Services immediately and close your OSAP account at Western to receive funding
from another institution.
Knowingly cashing a loan to which you are not entitled, either
because you will not attend or because you have withdrawn from
the program, may result in loss of access to future government
loans by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
If An Assignment For The First Instalment Of Tuition Fees Is
Recorded On My Loan Document, But I Want To Pay Full Tuition
Fees, Can The Assigned Amount Be Changed?
If you wish to avoid paying the $52.00 deferment charge and pay
full tuition fees, you must have the amount changed on your loan.
You must have this change made by a Student Financial Services
representative before you negotiate your loan with the NSLSC.
Do not alter your loan document in any way; the NSLSC/postal
outlets are directed to refuse any loan document if the assignment
has been adjusted. Take the loan documents to Student
Information Services, Western Student Services Building.
Any outstanding tuition fees or emergency loans have been
recorded on your loan and will be paid to the University when you
negotiate with the NSLSC. Although every attempt has been made
to collect all outstanding payments, you must ensure that there
are no debts to the University.
Second-term Loan Release
If you have an outstanding balance on your tuition account, an
assignment for these fees will be taken from your loan.
The assigned amount appears in the middle of the loan document
above your signature. It is your responsibility to submit the loan
document to the NSLSC/postal outlet promptly. Any assigned fees
will be disbursed by the NSLSC to Student Financial Services.
Do not alter your loan document in any way; the NSLSC/Postal
Outlets are directed to refuse any loan document if the assignment
has been adjusted. Verify that the amount of the assignment is
sufficient to cover the full amount of outstanding fees and contingency loans due. You are responsible to meet the fee payment
deadline for any shortfall. Retain the student copy of your loan
document for future reference.
Overpayments
Students whose OSAP awards are reassessed during the academic
year (e.g., as a result of an increase in a student’s resources, an
early withdrawal from full-time studies, a reduction in course load,
or a mathematical error in the original assessment, etc.), will be
deemed to be in an overpayment situation. Students who have
been assessed with an overpayment on two or more OSAP files will
be restricted from future government funding for their education
until the second and any subsequent overaward is repaid.
If you do not inform Western of your decision not to attend, you

Step 6: Paying your Fees
Requesting an OSAP Review
You may request that your initial OSAP application be reconsidered
if you think that something was missed or if your circumstances
have changed since you applied for a loan. When you provide the
necessary details, Student Financial Services may review your
application if:
■
the information you originally provided was incorrect or has
changed,
■
you think that a mistake has been made in the application
assessment criteria and/or
■
you feel you have extraordinary circumstance not covered in
the need assessment procedures
A review of your initial application may affect the amount of the
loan. If the review indicates that the original assessment was too
low, you may receive additional loan assistance. If the reassessment indicates that you are entitled to less money, an overpayment may be identified and the amount may be recovered from
your future student loan entitlement. Contact Student Financial
Services at 519-661-2100 to make an appointment to discuss a
possible review.
Recipients of a University Administered Scholarship
The first instalment of tuition is due before we receive final marks
and therefore cannot confirm eligibility of a student to receive a
University Administered Scholarship. Therefore these scholarships
may not be deducted from your first instalment of tuition. If your
tuition has been paid in full prior to the scholarship being applied
to your tuition account, a cheque will be issued to you for the
scholarship amount in mid-October. If your tuition has not been
paid in full, the scholarship amount will be applied directly to
your outstanding tuition account payable in January.
External Sponsorships
Students whose fees will be paid by an external sponsor must provide proof of funding for each term to Student Financial Services,
Western Student Services Building 1120 before the tuition deadline
to avoid late payment charges. Students are responsible for payment of any fees or penalties not paid by the sponsor.

Complete a Senior Bursary application available online at
www.registrar.uwo.ca/FinancialServices/SeniorBursary.cfm and mail

financial need.
CANCELLATION FEES
Full-time students who withdraw from the University prior to the
start of the session will be assessed a cancellation fee of $260.00*.
Also see WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS below.
Part-time students who withdraw from their courses prior to the
start of session will be assessed a cancellation fee of $52.00 per
full course* and/or $26.00 per half course*. Also see WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS below.
Note: It is very important that constituent students advise the
Office of the Registrar (Academic Records) in writing, as soon as
possible, if they are cancelling their registration. Failure to do so
promptly will result in additional charges based on the current
refund schedule. Affiliated University College students should
advise their Registrar.
*The $75.00 Distance Studies fee is assessed even if the student
withdraws from the course. Fees for Summer are subject to change.
Please check our website for more information.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
Students are assessed fees according to the number of courses in
which they are registered. It is important to note that every
course change you make has a corresponding financial implication.
The only exception to this is for full-time students who drop or
add a course but remain registered in 3.5 or more credits. In these
situations there is no adjustment to fees. It is possible to withdraw
or change from full-time to part-time status and still owe some
tuition if only the first instalment amount was paid at the time of
registration. No fee adjustment occurs after the last dates to
withdraw without academic penalty.
To withdraw from a course after web registration is closed , you
must notify the Faculty Academic Counselling Office in writing or
in person, of your intent to withdraw prior to the deadline to
withdraw. Otherwise you will be considered a course registrant and
will be assessed the full fee as well as receiving a grade of “F” for
the course.
Details on withdrawals and refunds can be found at:
www.registrar.uwo.ca/FinancialServices/Fees.cfm#refunds
Refunds are calculated by comparing the total payments and the
total charges. Students who change their status from full-time to
part-time after classes begin are responsible for all the full-time
non-refundable charges such as bus pass and health plan.
After the last day to officially drop without academic penalty, full
tuition and activity fees would remain assessed. Therefore, it is
important to complete the withdrawal procedure immediately
because the amount of refund or fees owing is computed on the
date authorized by the Faculty Academic Counselling Office.
If the withdrawal or course drop results in a credit balance in your
fees account: i.e. payments are greater than charges, a refund
cheque is produced. Refund cheques are automatically prepared
by Student Financial Services and are available no earlier
than eight weeks after the withdrawal date to allow for bank
clearing, dropping and adding of courses, etc. The University
has been directed by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and
Universities to return refunds to the National Student Loan
Centre in instances where payment was received through a
Government Student Loan. No interest is paid on refunded
tuition. Full refunds are given if a course(s) is cancelled by
the University.
Changes to your enrolment may affect your OSAP entitlement. Contact
Student Financial Services at 519-661-2100 prior to withdrawing from
courses.

Students on Letters of Permission from other universities must
arrange with their home university to send a Letter of
Permission to Western before registering in a course(s).

time of registration (first instalment) and pay the balance owing
after September 30th, will be assessed a deferred payment/financing charge.
Amount:
Undergraduates - Part-time

Permission, a confirmation letter will be sent to you. This letter
will provide you with your Western Student Number, Personal
Computer Account user ID, and Personal Identification Number
(PIN). Please telephone 519-661-2111 x84890 if the registration
deadline is approaching and you have not received your letter.

that is returned to the Office of the Registrar will not be redirected. Fines and penalties that accumulate on a student’s
account will not be cancelled due to an incorrect address.
All students registered in a Distance Studies course will be
assessed the non-refundable supplementary fee of $75.00 per
course up to a maximum of $150.00. This fee is assesssed in addition to the tuition. This charge is assessed even if a student subsequently withdraws from the course.

Adding & Dropping Courses
Further Academic Information:
MEDIA THEORY AND PRODUCTION PROGRAM
HEALTH SCIENCES (Kinesiology)
Collaborative students in Year 2 and 4 must enrol in ONLY 1.0 courses
at Western. The remainder of their courses will be through Fanshawe
College. Direct any questions to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of
Information and Media Studies.
You must select your academic load according to the prescribed
Academic Calendar copy information. DO NOT SELECT Kinesiology
courses for which you do not have the required prerequisites. You
must schedule a balanced academic load for September - April.
Students must follow the requirements for their Kinesiology
Degree/Module. www.uwo.ca/fhs/kin/ug/programs/index.html
Kin Activity (Quarter Courses) Selection Format: Q=1st quarter; R=2nd
quarter; S=3rd quarter; T=4th quarter. A maximum of one activity per
quarter. Any other combinations require special permission from an
Academic Counsellor. Deadline dates for adding/dropping Q/R/S/T Kin
activity courses are different than half or full courses.
HEALTH SCIENCES (Bachelor of Health
Sciences)
Overloads of Health Sciences courses are not permitted until
September, with permission of the Academic Counsellor.
SCIENCE AND BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES
Academic Counselling Website and FAQs:
www.uwo.ca/sci/counselling
BMSC Website: www.uwo.ca/bmsc
Course Overload : Course Overload requires permission of a Dean’s
Office Academic Counsellor to take an increased or irregular course
load and will be considered on the basis of past academic
performance. Extra course(s) may be added during extended web
registration, once permission for an increased load has been granted.
Course Overlap : A student taking multiple modules may replace a
maximum of 1.0 common course(s) with any senior level course(s) in
Science/Basic Medical Sciences. Common courses beyond 1.0 will
continue to be divided between departments and specified
substitutions will be given by the departments involved in the
modules.
HEALTH SCIENCES (Nursing)
You must select your academic load according to the prescribed
Academic Calendar Copy information. Please follow the detailed web
registration instructions available on the Registrar’s website.
SOCIAL SCIENCE
Please check prerequisites and antirequisites in the course
descriptions. Antirequisites are courses that overlap too much to
allow credit for both (most common mistake: signing up for two
statistics courses and losing credit for one!). Before adding a course,
you must have the prerequisite or a Special Permission to take the
course without the prerequisite signed by the Department offering
the course and your Dean's Office.
First year courses may not be deferred. Sign up for missing first year
courses before adding senior courses. If you become eligible to enter
a program based on summer results, contact a Counsellor by fax 519661-3384 or email ssaco@uwo.ca.
Balance your course load so that you have no more than the
equivalent of 5 courses per term (most common error: 4 one term
and 6 the next). Generally, you may take a maximum of 1.0 course
each year at an Affiliated College if the course is not offered on
campus. Special permission to take more than 1.0 course may be
given if that is necessary for you to complete a module you are
taking at an Affiliate.
Students with an A average should register for their full load by
September in order to be considered for scholarships.

website: www.counselling.ssc.uwo.ca. Check department sites at

DISTANCE STUDIES
General Inquiries
Western Student Services Building
Regular Hours (In-person)*:
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Wednesday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Telephone: 519-661-2100; Fax: 519-661-3615
Email: dist.studies@uwo.ca
Website: www.registrar.uwo.ca/distance
* Hours are subject to change.
Distance studies occurs when learners are separated from the
instructor and classmates, whether across the hall or across the
province. Unlike the courses of the past that depended entirely
on written communication through the mail, today’s distance
courses may include multimedia materials and often take advantage of the Web-based communication technologies. Western’s
Distance Studies on-line courses will let you pursue university
studies if you cannot attend regular classes. This form of
instruction allows you both time and place flexibility to meet
your educational objectives.
Format
Each on-line course is mediated through WebCT OWL. WebCT OWL
is a learning management system that provides a set of tools that
are all web based. You use a web browser to view and interact
with other students and course material in a manner similar to
viewing web pages on the internet. In addition to WebCT OWL’s
learning resources, many courses have a textbook or collection of
readings, which have been selected by your instructor, to aid in
your learning. Textbooks and collected readings may be purchased at the University Book Store (www.bookstore.uwo.ca)
Online Courses
WebCT OWL is the primary delivery tool for most online courses
and is a supplementary resource in others. Online courses give
you the same opportunity to learn as on-campus courses, except
they are more flexible. Just as you would prepare yourself for an
on-campus course, preparing your computer is your responsibility.
You will require an Internet connection and are responsible for
the cost of arranging the connection. Both dial-up and highspeed Internet connections are supported by WebCT OWL. Note:
The increasing sophistication of web-based resources means that
it may take more time to access WebCT OWL over a dial-up connection. Please take this into consideration when choosing your
Internet connection. You can also use Internet functions to
search library catalogues and other resources around the world.
Students who take courses by this method enjoy the stimulation
of discussion, the social contact the system provides, and access
to worldwide resources.
Online Services
Type of computer recommended for online courses
The protection of all home computers that have access to the
22
University of Western Ontario network is the responsibility of the
individual accessing the network. Information Technology
Services recommends that you take precautions to protect your
computer and electronic identity. It is imperative that you regularly update your anti-virus protection and your operating system. For more information please see security.uwo.ca
Online courses have the following minimum hardware and software requirements:
• Operating System: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP OR Mac OS X
• Processor: Intel Pentium II 300 Mhz equivalent OR Mac
400Mhz PowerPC G4
• 128 MB RAM
• 56 kbps Modem; CD-ROM Drive; Sound card with speakers
• Supported Web Browsers: Internet Explorer 6.0, Firefox 1.0,
Netscape 7.2, Mozilla 1.7, Safari 1.2
• Required Software: Anti-virus Protection, Sun Java 1.4, Word
Processor
Course Information
Information about the general conduct of your course, textbooks,
examinations and submission of assignments will be available
online at the Distance Studies website
www.registrar.uwo.ca/distance.
For further information regarding fees, adding or dropping
course(s), admissions, or any other administrative concern, contact the Office of the Registrar at 519-661-2100.
To contact Distance Studies directly for information not found on
the website, phone 519-661-2100 or email dist.studies@uwo.ca
Register Early!
Enrolment in each course is limited. Courses often fill on the first
day of course selection. The University is unable to guarantee
registration, and reserves the right to withdraw course offerings.
If a course is cancelled…
When courses are cancelled because a minimum enrolment quota
has not been met, the full tuition that you paid will be refunded.
Western will try to help you register in another course. No interest is paid on refunded tuition.
Distance Studies Supplementary Fee
A non-refundable fee of $75.00 per full or half course registration
will be assessed on all Distance Studies course registrations to a
maximum of $150.00 to help offset the escalating costs of preparing course materials, computer manuals, and software; sending
them to each student individually; maintaining an adequate
inventory of materials and establishing computer accounts, as
well as providing computer support for online courses and the
receipt of corresopndence assignments by fax. It is non-refundable because registration in a Distance Studies course automatically sets the processes in motion so that many of these expenses
are incurred by the University even if the student decides to drop
the course before it begins.

Information for First Year Students
Please read the following information, as it will be essential for most ongoing
communication during your studies at The University of Western Ontario.
Your student number and Western Username and Password will be used for
registration, checking grades, accessing your account balance, and many
other services. Please keep these items confidential.
Western Email
Email is the primary mode of communication between The University of Western Ontario and its students; therefore, it is very important that you activate your Western email account promptly and
check it regularly. To activate your Western e-mail, you will need your student number and your
four-digit PIN. To obtain your PIN, go to Western’s Student Services website at
studentservices.uwo.ca. Once you have your student number and PIN simply follow the steps
through the “Activate your Email Account” link at www.registrar.uwo.ca/Undergrad.cfm.
If you wish to have your e-mail forwarded to another email account you can do so through the ITS
website at www.uwo.ca/its. From there select “”E-mail Services” and “Forwarding E-mail”.
Registration and Student Center
Student Center is a self-service system that provides year round access to your student records and
campus finances. The system is also used for registration and changes of address. To access the
Student Center, log in at student.uwo.ca using your Western userid and email password. All Western

here at the University. SAO is a program where first year students can select courses with a professor,
create a timetable, register for courses, get photo identification and much more.
