Established during 2004, eTime is an ICASA licensed
telecommunications operator with both ECNS and IECNS
licenses and are therefore allowed to build and operate
our own wireless network .
We offer a one STOP Information Technology solution to
our customers. From domain hosting, internet
connections, telephone and VOIP systems to network
installations, computer sales and maintenance.
Background
 Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs)
are becoming more pervasive in South African
schools and are increasingly considered valuable
tools in education, promoting the development of
higher cognitive processes and allowing teachers
and learners access to a plethora of information.

Student accessibility
The wireless network is on the 2.4 GHz frequency. It is
accessible from devices such as notebooks, IPad’s, Cell
Phones, etc.
Access to the network is based on dual authentication.
The first authentication is to access the school network.
Authentication is done with a password and username.
The second authentication is to gain access to the
internet. This authentication is also done with a password
and username.
All student access is logged and filtered, be it the school
network or the internet connection.

eTime can supply the required hardware. eTime
can supply and install the required software.
eTime can configure the software for the network.
eTime gives on-going support to ensure a reliable
and stable network. We have a selection of
SLA,s ( Service Level Agreements) and
Maintenance contracts to supply the required
support.
eTime Backbone
eTime has a network of repeaters covering large areas of the Southern
Cape. Our clients connect through these repeaters and are backhauled to
our offices and various failover breakout points. The backhaul wireless
network has build in redundancy. This ensures a stable and reliable
service. We are constantly adding repeaters to our network to expand our
network and covering area.
eTime has a track record of a stable and reliable service and are therefore
in demand from other areas to assist with wireless connections and to
supply wireless connections were our specialized skill is required.
eTime is business partners with Internet Solutions and Vodacom. We are
resellers of the Telkom services and utilize these services for our ADSL
connections. Through these partnerships eTime has a variety of backhaul
options. We use fiber, diginet and ADSL connections and this enables a
true broadband service with failover in services through different service
providers.
