We review each of the in-depth evaluations that we ask each participant to complete
at the end of every class. We ask for and receive thoughtful, candid feedback. More
importantly, we ask for criticism. Just as we ask of our students, we examine honestly
our strengths and weaknesses, to be of optimal service. We change and improve TSLP
each time we offer it, based on the feedback from these evaluations.

Since 2009 we have been growing a program that makes a difference in the lives of the
police sergeant students who complete it. Participants trust the respect and the sense
of safety they feel in our classrooms and open up to really probing their strengths and
