E DUCATION
All Gowlings OHS Consultants are graduates of Ryerson University's OHS degree or certificate programs. All courses are
reviewed and approved by Norm Keith. As well, all OHS Consultants have been trained in adult teaching techniques and are
certified in Standard First Aid and CPR. Gowlings OHS lawyers lead the “mock trial” exercise in our two-day due diligence
course.

Litigation
With his 25 years of experience, Norm Keith and his team have successfully represented employers in more than 1,000
OHSA, Workers' Compensation, TSSA, environmental and related charges and claims, at courts, tribunals, and appeals all the
way to the Supreme Court of Canada.
All OHS Consultants assist Norm Keith and other Gowlings lawyers with OHS and Workers' Compensation (WC) legal
matters across Canada. This involves:
o Forensic incident investigations protected by solicitor and client privilege
o Appeals of OHS Regulator's Orders
o Evidence gathering to support defending OHS charges
o Appeals of WC adjudicator and revenue specialist decisions, and
o Providing advice to hundreds of senior executives, managers and supervisors.
The OHS Consultants have an in-depth understanding regarding witness interviews, evidence gathering and analysis, and
demonstrating due diligence in a court of law. This industry and courtroom experience is reflected in the classroom through
relevant course exercises, case studies and numerous real-life examples.
