GCMHP’s 6th International Conference
Mental Health and Human Rights in Palestine:
Enhancing Resilience and Hope

Dear Colleagues:
It’s our pleasure to invite you to our 6th International conference entitled ‘Mental
Health and Human Rights in Palestine: Enhancing Resilience and Hope’.
The conference objectives are:
1. Professional cooperation and exchange of knowledge between Palestinian and
international professionals in the fields of mental health and human rights are
enhanced.
2. Effective methods and approaches to enhance the resilience and hope
amongst the Palestinian children, families and community are promoted.
3. The international community has a greater understanding of the current
situation and advocates creating change in Palestine.
4. GCMHP’s role as a leading organization in mental health and human rights
which carries the legacy of Dr. Eyad El-Sarraj is highlighted.
The conference themes are:
1. The siege and political realities and their impact on mental health.
2. The Palestinian experience: Waiting for peace.
3. Mental health interventions in the areas of conflicts.
4. Dr. Eyad El-Sarraj legacy and role of GCMHP in the future.
Interested researchers, scholars, academics, and activists are invited to
participate in the conference and submit abstracts of papers for presentation
at the conference.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
• The due date for submission of abstract is NOVEMBER 15th 2015.
• The abstract will be preceded by the paper title in English, will be written
using Times New Roman characters, size 12, single-line spacing, and shall
not exceed 200 words.
• Authors are encouraged to submit their papers in the following format: aim,
methodology, results and conclusion.
• The presenter’s name should be written with bold characters.
• Abstracts will be submitted by email to the following address:
conference@gcmhp.net

Note: the abstracts will be appraised by the scientific
committee, and full papers of accepted abstracts will be requested
by the end of November 2015.
