The wildlife is at its most diverse in the region.
Birds, mammals, reptiles, fish and invertebrates
are abundant. From fruit bats, salt-water
crocodiles, pythons and frilled-neck lizards
to archerfish, barramundi and termite colonies,
the Kimberley is filled with an array of wildlife.
Food and wine are as much an attraction
as the wild country. Every meal is brimming
with local ingredients of superb pedigree and
quality, supplemented by the abundant riches
of Western Australia’s coastlines and paddocks.
Indigenous guides bring this spellbinding
region to life with their insightful commentary on
Indigenous rock art, providing you with a deeper
understanding of the land you’re exploring.
Your 16 Day Top End and Kimberley Discovery
tour begins in Darwin. Set amidst the spiritual
land of Kakadu, Hawk Dreaming Wilderness
Lodge offers you access to restricted areas of
the national park that are sacred to the local
people. Spend time exploring Ubirr before
travelling south to the luxury of Cicada Lodge.
Spend two nights at Purnululu National Park.
Explore the ancient beehive formations of the
Bungle Bungle Range during your stay at the
APT’s exclusive Bungle Bungle Wilderness
Lodge. Visit Mitchell Plateau and hike to
Mitchell Falls. Stay at Home Valley Station

If you are short on time but eager to discover
the Kimberley this adventure is ideal. Depart
Broome along the Gibb River Road in one of
our custom-designed 4WDs with an expert
Driver-Guide. Stay two nights at APT’s Bell
Gorge Wilderness Lodge, located on
Indigenous-owned land. Swim beneath the falls
at Bell Gorge and spot unique birdlife. Gaze
up at the striped beehive domes of the Bungle
Bungle Range. Arrive at Cathedral Gorge and
test the acoustics of this impressive natural
amphitheatre. Cruise through the ancient
Geikie Gorge before returning to Broome.
