The University of Texas at El Paso 2009-2010 Transfer Guide for El Paso Community College CORE CURRICULUM The courses listed below can be taken at El Paso Community College in partial fulfillment of UTEP’s Core Curriculum requirements. Completion of the entire Core, or blocks within the Core, at EPCC will satisfy completion of the Core or comparable blocks at UTEP. A maximum of 66 hours may be transferred from twoyear institutions to UTEP degree programs. TRANSFER STUDENTS Transfer of Credit--Core Curriculum Not Completed. Except as specified in subsection (f) of this section, a student who transfers from one institution of higher education to another without completing the core curriculum of the sending institution shall receive academic credit within the core curriculum of the receiving institution for each of the courses that the student has successfully completed in the core curriculum of the sending institution. Following receipt of credit for these courses, the student may be required to satisfy the remaining course requirements in the core curriculum of the receiving institution.
