Algebra-­‐Unit 3 Test, Tuesday 3/18/2014. As you are aware the Unit 3 test will be on Tuesday 3/18. It will assess you on all the lessons in the unit. The following is a list of the lessons, with the associated sections from the book that you could use to review. Lesson 1: Relating Graphs to Events (in book: 5-­‐1) Lesson 2: Tables and Linear Equations (in book: 1-­‐4, 5-­‐2, 5-­‐3, 5-­‐4) Lesson 3: Linear Patterns and Function Rules (in book: 1-­‐4, 5-­‐2, 5-­‐3, 5-­‐4) Lesson 4: Graphing Linear Functions Using Tables (in book: 1-­‐4, 5-­‐2, 5-­‐3, 5-­‐4) Lesson 5: Slope (in book: 6-­‐1, 6-­‐2) Lesson 6: Slope Intercept Form (in book: 6-­‐2, 6-­‐3) Lesson 7: Parallel and Perpendicular Lines (in book: 6-­‐6) Lesson 8: Standard Form (in book: 6-­‐4) Lesson 9: Point-­‐Slope Form (in book: 6-­‐5) Remember, Tests are 50% of your overall trimester grade. It is your opportunity to demonstrate your proficiency of the skills that were on the quizzes, as it will be at least the second time that you will have been assessed on most of the unit standards. As we have discussed, you should be doing the following to prepare for your assessment: • Bring home your binder. It should be organized, remember I have labeled every sheet with the unit lesson and/or topic. You should be reviewing the materials in each section with emphasis on the notes and practice problems. • Bring home quiz 1, 2 and 3. Review these with emphasis on the problems that you got wrong and your redos. • Use the textbook as a resource to do more review and to do practice problems. • Use the online tools that I have sent home in emails. • Review packet will be given on Monday. • Extra help will be available Monday, 3/17, after school for anything you are having trouble with. BE PREPARED when you come for help. Know what you are having difficulty with.
