Appointed as the first full-time Podiatrist for the above Centre and Consultant
Podiatrist to the satellite Diabetes Education Service. This position became part of an
acclaimed multidisciplinary health care team, dedicated to prophylactic education and
preventative management of people with diabetes mellitus. It presented the unique
opportunity to work as Diabetes Educator in addition to Podiatrist. This work
included: patient screening, clinical treatment, surgery, orthoses prescription and
fabrication, total contact casting, patient education, research, ward rounds, lecturing
to Medical/Allied Health Staff and Medical Students.
