CitizenLeaderProject:Thiscollaborativeleadershipprojectistobecompletedbytwostudents workingtogetherandsharingallphasesofthework;itisacriticalelementofthestudent’sfinal grade.Theprojectconsistsofinterviewinganotablecitizenleader—typically,aheadofa governmentagency,orofapublicinterest,community,ornon-profitorganizationinNewYork City—andsubmittingawrittenreportanddeliveringanoralpresentationtothewholeclasson thatleader.AprojectdescriptionandtimelinewillbepostedtoNYUClassesunderthe Resourcesfolder. 5. Attendance/ClassParticipation:Allstudentsareexpectedtoattendregularclasssessions; attendancewillbetaken.Eachclassisuniqueandstudentsshouldworktoavoidanyconflicts throughoutthesemester,asnomaterialoreventscanberepeated.Moreover,thepublic speakingexercisesaredesignedaspartoftheclassparticipationgradeandprovideexperience inbothdeliveringoralpresentationsofdifferenttypesandinofferingconstructivefeedback.
