In 1977, Ken Hamel opened a business with a focus on excellence. His involvement in the metals
industry started back in 1962, where as both an
owner and manager, he became frustrated with
the levels of service he found. He decided to create a business where he could provide outstanding
customer service, superior quality control, timely
shipping and cost efficient products.

Level One/SubSafe Crucial Shipboard Application”. Quality Control is involved in the processing of all
customer purchase orders and all sales orders to ensure accuracy in all aspects. Because the end use of much
of the material we supply is Level One/Subsafe, the strict discipline involved when reviewing the certifications
supplied by the mills is a high priority.
