This window must be open for you to remain on the wireless network. Click the Logout button to exit the network. If you have never used the UGA Libraries Wireless Network before: You may be asked to install a security certificate onto your computer. This authenticates your computer as part of the Wireless Network’s user community. Launch your web browser. When you attempt to access a web page, a “Security Alert” window will pop up with three buttons: Yes, No, and View Certificate. ● ● ● If you click Yes you will get the login screen but the certificate is not installed on the notebook. You will receive this prompt at each login until you install the certificate. If you click View Certificate you will be given the “Install Certificate” button. Once you have installed the certificate you will be able to log into the Wireless Network. If you click No you cannot access the network. The UGA Libraries Wireless Network is part of the PAWS network. If you have successfully used your laptop with the PAWS network in other campus locations, you should be able to use the Wireless Network in the Main Library or Science Library with your UGA MyID and current hardware configuration. Your UGA MyID is your login name and password for ARCHES and WebCT. To get a UGA MyID, go to http://www.uga.edu/myid. You must use a UGA MyID to log into the Wireless Network. Login names and passwords for campus wireless networks that are not part of the PAWS network will not work in the Libraries. In the Main Library the UGA Libraries Wireless Network is available on all floors, including the reading room and lounge, and the B2 classroom. In the Science Library the Wireless Network is available on the first, second, and third floors, and extends into the lobby. Reception is best in open areas of each floor. The metal shelving of the stacks or carrel walls may interfere with the Wireless Network signal.
