Technology Project Explanation I
I hope you enjoy my presentation. This is a
culminating project which displays skills I have acquired in the
following computer software programs.
• PowerPoint 2013
• Timeliner 5.0
• Microsoft Word 2013
• Kidspiration 3
• Kid Pix 4
In this PowerPoint I have learned to format my own
background, add additional slides, include slide transition and
animation. This is my first presentation and I am looking
forward to creating more on my own.
The fall and winter pictures in my presentation were
created in Kid Pix 4. This picture was created with drawing
tools. I have learned to create my own stamps or simply draw
freehand. These pictures were also exported to be included in
this PowerPoint.
My family maps were created in the computer
software program Kidspiration 3. Kidspiration 3 is a visual
learning program which uses pictures, symbols, numbers ,and
graphic organizers to enhance learning. Each member of my
family is displayed in a graphic organizer. Adjectives and
nouns in some cases have been listed to describe highlights of
each family member. These slides were exported to my
PowerPoint. Each slide was formatted the same way to provide
consistency. This format included font, font size, style, and fill.
By exporting these pictures, family members will be able to
enjoy viewing this project from home. This PowerPoint along
with other projects created by my classmates will appear on the
school website in June.

I have learned to create my own stamps or simply draw
freehand. It is important to note that I do not need to depend on
clip art. I can create my own clip art with my drawing skills.
These pictures were also exported to be included in this
PowerPoint.
Technology Project Explanation II
We used the program Timeliner to create a personal
timeline and we examined a historical timeline of the
pilgrim’s trip to Plymouth Rock. In both cases we were
able to give a visual display of our journey through school
and the pilgrims journey from England to Plymouth
Plantation. This was helpful as we studied this period in
social studies, had pilgrims visit our school and we
traveled to Plymouth Plantation as well. My personal
timeline and my pilgrim timeline have been included in my
presentation. Timelines provide a great visual reference for
people and special people or events in history. They detail
when things happened and how these events relate to one
another. They allow us to see which historic characters
were living in the same era, even if they were continents
apart. They are a great tool for highlighting
chronologically significant events in an individual’s life.
The fall poem titled “October” was created in Microsoft Word
2013. I have been learning about the toolbar and how to format
documents. I have learned to change font, color, size and
change the style of text in my document. I am able to copy,
paste a picture or text, and select or size clip art online. I am
able to center text as well. I copied this poem in Word and
pasted it into my PowerPoint.
The content projects were topics I chose to write
about. These were written directly on my Power Point. I
learned how to select a layout for my slide deciding if I wanted
a single topic or two. On these slides I selected clip art to go
with my writing. I was also able to format font, style and I was
introduced to Word Art.
My Favorite Restaurant and Food Is
My favorite restaurant is
Papa Gino’s. I like it because their
pizza is very big and very good.
My uncle works at Papa Gino’s.

My favorite food is chicken pop
pie. I love it so much because it has
all of the things that I like in . So I
can eat all of my favorite foods in
one!

My favorite sport is
gymnastics. I like so much
because you learn
to really difficult stunts.
You can do things like
handstands and summersaults.
My favorite team in football
is the New England Patriots. I
like them so much because they
always do their best. They rock
and have so muchtalent.
My Best Friend
My best friends are Amelia, Colby, Travers, and Sean.
They are my best friends because they are all always nice to
me. They all mostly like the same thing as me. I like baseball
soccer lacrosse and wrestling.
My Greatest Achievement
My best achievement was snowboarding . I am really good
at snowboarder. I can go down White Pine and White Pine is
the hardest mountain to go down.
My Favorite Movie and Cartoon Is
My favorite movie is Spy
Kids! I like Spy Kids because
there are a lot of children who are
spys.. They all fight criminals.
My favorite cartoon is
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
My favorite part is when Mikey
makes a short song up it is Mc
Mikey. I like it a lot.
My Favorite Pastime and Hobby Is
In the pastime I like to play
outside with my brother. And then
when my mom gets home I like to go
in say hi and spend the rest of my day
with her. I like to play basketball
outside with my brother Blake.
My favorite hobby is gymnastics.
I like gymnastics because you
have to put a lot of strength in to it
and I have a lot of strength. I strive
to do very well at gymnastics.
