Exceptional Transfer Opportunities.
Springfield Technical Community College offers students planning to continue their
education at a four year college an exceptional educational foundation at a tremendous
financial savings. Spending your freshman and sophomore years at STCC may save you
significant financial resources towards a Bachelor’s Degree. STCC students transfer to
local, regional and national colleges and universities. Our students know that you can
“start here and transfer anywhere!”
STCC has a number of specific transfer agreements with prestigious colleges and
universities, both public and private, region-wide. For example, if you maintain
good grades at STCC, you are automatically accepted for transfer as a junior to any
Massachusetts state college or university. Our transfer agreements ensure that the courses
you take at STCC are equivalent to those at the school to which you are transferring.
MassTransfer Program
The Department of Higher Education has
implemented a statewide transfer program
called MassTransfer. The MassTransfer
program policy is for any student in the
Massachusetts public higher education system
who completes and satisfies the 34 credit
general education transfer block.
STCC graduates of these degree programs
will be guaranteed full transferability of their
credits to the Massachusetts state universities
and the University of Massachusetts campuses.
For more information about MassTransfer visit

been identified as having MassTransfer

Additional Transfer Agreements
There are additional transfer agreements
(ATAs) under the Mass Transfer Program
that will ensure that students can transfer
a minimum of 60 credits that can be
applied towards a bacheolor’s degree and,
depending on GPA, students may qualify for
guaranteed admission and a tuition discount.
Please note that these agreements do not
include the entire Mass Transfer block. For
more information, please contact the STCC
Transfer Department or the Massachusetts
state university that you are interested in
