2. Not applicable- Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. is participating in the EITI process in the Democratic
Republic of Congo and Peru. These countries have not yet completed their country-level EITI validation
reports.
4. Not applicable- there was no EITI Conference held while we were participating in a country validation
process
Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. formally endorsed EITI in July 2008. Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold
Inc. operates in Peru and the Democratic Republic of Congo, both of which are candidate countries for
implementing EITI. We also operate in Indonesia, which has indicated that they will become a candidate
country for EITI. We are committed to supporting EITI implementation in these countries and cooperating with
the development of country-level EITI reports. We currently disclose our payments to governments regionally
via our annual sustainable development reports.
