that point of view can impact a medical practice or hospital. We will also discuss how KMA works with billing personnel to track global billing issues that can be taken
to the payers for action.

General Session: Administration Simplification…………………………………………………………….Presenter: Jennifer Kennedy, Humana
Many coders/practices struggle with the complexity of healthcare administration and whether they will get paid for their claims. While we wait for the promise of what
technology may bring, much of this is available and in use today but are concerned of reimbursement issues. During this session we will discuss How Real Time Claim
Adjudication, Multi-payer portals, Cardswipe technology, and others are benefiting practices today.
General Session: Using Modifiers When Coding for Breast Cancer Surgery…………………..................Presenter: Anees Chagpar, MD
In this session we will focus on modifiers and when they might be needed when breast cancer surgery is performed.
General Session: Discover the Meaning of Your Payer Contract Language and Learn How to Create an Even Playing Field….
Presenter: Penny Noyes, Health Business Navigators
In this session, we will walk through a long list of issues that are not provider friendly that a coder/practice might find lurking in their payer agreements. You will be
guided as to how to search for the very culprits within your own agreements. Coders will leave with great tips on what to have removed from future contracts and how to
turn unfair provisions into ones with acceptable terms.
