in low power group members. Using the Social Relation Model (SRM), I am exploring how
perceptions of both ingroup and outgroup members can affect these expectations.

Research Question:
-Self-regulatory strategies, such as implementation intentions, have been shown to both
enhance goal-directed behavior and bias visual perception. This research explores how
altered visual perception may be acting as a mechanism through which implementation
intentions facilitate goal achievement.

-Denial of global warming has been shown to be associated with the motivation to defend
the current socioeconomic system. This research explores the idea that this denial of
environmental issues is facilitated by biased tactile perception of ambient temperature.
