Andy was born August 6,
1961 in Decatur, IL, the son of
Glenn and Gloria Ann (Moser)
Kater. He married Deena Highland on June 30, 2000 in Colorado Springs, CO.
Andy was a skilled machinist
by trade and started his career
at Acme Cash Valve. He then
went to work for Mitsubishi
Motors after, and then Caterpillar Tractor Company. First
and foremost he was a Harley
Davidson enthusiast, with
a drive for construction and
building. He developed a hobby
of assembling and flying R/C
airplanes and became an avid
collector of many items. His
true passion was updating and
maintaining the properties of
his loved ones year round.
He is survived by his wife
Deena of Decatur, IL; mother
Gloria Ann Kater of Decatur,
IL; sons Jesse Jay Kater and
wife Courtney of Collinsville,
IL, Ryan James Patient and
wife Crystal of Boca Raton, FL;
daughter Brandy Jo Marshall
of Mt. Zion, IL; granddaughter
Olivia Grace Marshall; brother
David Kater and wife Ginny
of Quincy, IL; sisters Jody
Armstrong and husband Bill
of Normal, IL, Sheril Donahue
and husband Steve of Normal,
