A business finance course
– without the figures!
Informative and creative working materials are two of the important
cornerstones of the Bonanza method - a training programme that
gives your staff a completely new appreciation of business finance.
Rodeo - the key to business finance
®
BUSINESS FINANCE THAT ANYONE CAN UNDERSTAND
The Bonanza method offers a quick and easy method of understanding basic concepts and financial
relationships. It’s easy to make economics and finance hard, and hard to make them easy. We want to
make economic and finance easily understood - using entertaining and creative methods. Financial
issues are mainly about common sense, not just about numbers, formulas and tables. To understand
financial relationships, you need to be able to absorb information in the right way and the right order.
Rodeo helps you to solve the financial jigsaw puzzle, putting all the pieces in place by the end of
the course, giving everyone a completely new appreciation of what business finance is all about. To
date, we have trained over 200,000 people in Sweden, the USA, Norway, Canada, Denmark, the UK,
Ireland and Asia, using the Bonanza method.
INVEST IN INCREASED PROFITABILITY
Training your employees and ensuring that everyone within the organisation understands the rules of
the game under which their particular company operates is an investment. It’s important that everyone
working for an organisation understands the company’s basis for survival and its financial well being and how they, as individuals, can help strengthen the company. Achieve this and you generate
excellent potential for increased profitability and growth.
A strong corporate economy breeds security and excellent potential for the future. Rodeo - the
key to business finance - brings every employee on board a shared knowledge platform from which to
work, and is an important investment in your company’s future profitability.
BONANZA – BUSINESS FINANCE WITHOUT FIGURES
Rodeo is fun and gets participants involved.
Which means the lessons can be learned far more easily.
UNIQUE TEACHING METHOD
The participants are divided into groups and set to
work, right from the very first moment. You can’t coast
your way through Rodeo. The course is based on a
strong communicative process between the facilitator
who leads the training and the group participants.
They listen, write, talk, laugh, sketch out, rub out, and
play corporate role-playing games, using computers
and dice. The informative course material arouses the
participants’ enthusiasm and gets them involved. And
they have fun, making the learning process
considerably more efficient. Teaching business
finance with graphics and colour codes, rather than
just numbers, is what we do on a day to day basis. The
teaching method is unique and works superbly well.
REALITY-BASED
Linking your organisation’s financial conditions with
the training ensures the course is even more
interesting for the participants. We are keen to see a
member of your organisation take part in the training
development process, and to use data based in reality,
because this makes it easier to explain and answer
questions about the key issues: where does our income
come from, how are we doing financially, and how can
I, as an employee, help boost my company’s business?
The corporate role-playing game, Rodeo - the key to
business finance, gives participants the opportunity to
run a company over several financial periods, with
financial statements produced at the end of each
period. We examine key ratios and analyse the period’s
events - all with the overall aim of enabling the
participants to discuss what is needed to increase your
organisation’s profitability.
A different Balance Sheet. Does it belong to a service company or a
real estate company? After the Rodeo training course, you’ll be able
to answer that question with ease!
COLOUR KEY
This is what a Balance Sheet looks like, using the
Bonanza method. Using coloured fields, based on actual
numerical data, paints a visual and fabulously clear
picture of the company’s financial position.
