To be able to know and implement data-acquisition software. To be able to design
efficiently a virtual instrument, to implement and debug it. To export measurement data
to an office software.

Contents
At his own pace and under supervision, the student can explore the numerous
problems – tackled in the theoretical courses – that occur in a design:
• real-time and interrupt-based systems
• programming concepts
• labview environment
• Programming VI's (Virtual Instruments) and functions
• data communication and synchronisation
• VI server
• error handling
• VI design patterns
• debugging
• VI design and documentation
• Memory, performance and determination.

Calculation of the examination mark
Theorie: oral examen : 40 %
Lab, exercices, (permanente evaluation, tests, projects): 10% + 50 %
A weighted average is used to compute the final score for a training item. However, if a
student gains a score of 7 or less on 20 on one of the different parts of this course, this
indicates that his skill for certain subcompetencies is insufficient. Consequently, the
examiners can deviate from the arithmetical calculation of the final marking of a training
item and use another marking in mutual consensus.
