SHOWS IN DEVELOPMENT PHASE
AIRSHIPS: A NEW JOURNEY BEGINS
The age of the Zeppelins died with the Hindenburg, but
now they’re back. Goodyear is retiring its current fleet of
blimps and replacing them with the most advanced
Zeppelins ever built. This documentary explores the
history of zeppelins and gives viewers exclusive access
to the construction of the first zeppelin built in North
America since 1933. A team of German and Americans
at Goodyear’s Wingfoot Lake air dock in Suffield, Ohio
join forces for this historic event. The first Zeppelin,
branded as the New Goodyear Blimp, will be christened
and placed into service during the summer of 2014.
Larger, faster and capable of carrying more passengers
than previous blimp models, the new Goodyear Blimp is an engineering and
technical marvel. Our story will take you behind closed doors to witness the
design and construction process and give you a brief historical look at these
amazing airships. (http://vimeo.com/ridgelineentertainment/airships)
ARMSTRONG ACTION
There is a new conflict in Hollywood. The battle
has begun against an adversary that does not
breathe, does not bleed, and cannot die. Andy
Armstrong, Gary Davis, and their families have
teamed up to challenge their competitor in the
Hollywood stunt business- Computer Graphic
Imagery (CGI) – to prove nothing beats real LIVE
stuntmen for the best action. Led by Armstrong
Action Stunt Company owner, Andy Armstrong,
(The Amazing Spiderman, Transformers, I Robot),
and stunt supervisor Gary Davis (The Green
Hornet, Terminator 2, Speed), this show provides an entirely new characterdriven twist on stunt shows. In each episode there is a CGI movie stunt chosen
and then replicated using real live stuntmen and Hollywood techniques without
the use of computer graphics. The objective is to prove that these stunts are
possible and the final product is just as spectacular (if not more) with real live
people. Two rival stunt families now working together, against a foe that
seemingly can do just about anything, Armstrong Action is sure to provide off
set drama that is as thrilling as the new stunts performed.

CHASING MONSTERS
This series highlights the lives of professional big
wave surfers Ken “Skindog” Collins, Shawn Dollar,
Keala Kennelly, Greg Long, and Maya Gabeira who
risk their lives attempting to ride the biggest waves
on the planet. While the monster waves of
California’s cold, shark-infested waters and Hawaii’s
shallow reef breaks provide amazing action, the
drama out of the water may be even more thrilling.
All of the characters have families, loved ones, and
rivals who are entangled in the surfers’ pursuits. The
content doesn’t get any more compelling for viewers
as each of them is forced to deal with injury, financial
instability, family strife, and even coping with the deaths of fellow surfers. Even
the search for “the monster break” is stressful and intense as these surfers must
pick up and jump on a plane, boat, or in a car at a moment’s notice to get to the
giant break in time. One day it’s the shores of northern California, the next it’s
Australia, then it’s Portugal, and quickly on to South Africa. Chasing Monsters
provides exclusive access to exotic locations and to the colorful and dramatic
characters who put life and limb on the line as they chase monster swells.

DEATH ZONE MD
On the inside, it looks like an ordinary mobile
emergency room. The outside, however, is so
extraordinary it will take your breath away. And that is
exactly why these high-altitude doctors are here –
nearly 20,000 feet above sea level in the shadow of
the tallest, most incredible mountain in the world.
While the view is indeed stunning, they are here to
ensure the safety and health of all climbers looking to
summit Mt. Everest. At an altitude of 26,000 feet,
oxygen levels become too low for the human body to
adapt. This is called the “Death Zone” and all
climbers must ascend into it in order to reach the top. Combine this lethal hazard
with avalanches, ice falls, severe storms, temperatures that plunge below zero,
sheer cliffs, and bottomless crevasses and you get a show at the peak of
excitement and drama. Watch as expert helicopter pilots attempt to rescue
injured and sick climbers off dangerously steep mountain slopes and deliver
them to the highest ER in the world as doctors then use IVs, hyperbaric
chambers, oxygen concentrators, and full-body re-warming bags to save life and
limb. Up here where the oxygen levels are so low a life can be lost in mere
seconds, the action and emotion that goes on in Death Zone M.D. will take your
breath away. And you don’t have to even leave your couch.
5
DEATH ZONE RESCUE
When it comes to “Search and Rescue” teams
putting life and limb on the line to save people
from imminent death, there are countless
remarkable stories of bravery and ingenuity. The
tales from those who do it on the tallest
mountain in the world, in air so thin a helicopter
can barely keep from crashing down, well, that is
a whole other story…A thrilling, action-packed
story called “Death Zone Rescue.” When it
comes to Mt. Everest, and the many other
Himalayan mountains around it, climbers must
ascend into a lethal low-oxygen region called
“The Death Zone” in order to reach the top. Combine this extraordinary risk with
frequent blinding blizzards that arrive at a moment’s notice, huge avalanches,
and the steep, treacherous terrain that runs along the edge of sheer cliffs, and
you get the perfect formula for an exciting, “breath-taking” search and rescue
show that will keep audiences on the edge of their seat. Watch as the expert
pilots and emergency evacuation medics of Alpine Rescue Service – the only
company recognized by the Nepalese government to conduct air and surface
rescue services within its country – put their life on the line as they offer the one
and only lifeline available to climbers who become victims of the “Goddesses of
Mother Earth.” This isn’t your ordinary life-saving field of work – this is “Death
Zone Rescue.”
HAUNTED BY HEROES
Music clubs on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip, such as
Whiskey A-Go-Go and The Roxy, are known for being
a stepping-stone for some of the most famous bands
in history. On the fast track to becoming one of the
world’s most adored rock bands, Haunted by Heroes
has already rocked both these legendary stages - and
they’re not even teenagers yet! In the beach town of
Pacifica, California, twin brothers Nick and Chris and
their friend Charley formed a band at the age of just 4.
Eight years and 120 concerts later, Haunted by
Heroes has added a new lead guitarist, Max, and are
on the fast track to fame. The band is tight, the band is hip, and they are the
center of attention wherever they go. While constant cameras, money, and
“chicks” are in the not-too-distant future for the young rockers, for now the
parents work tirelessly just to keep the boys fed, clothed, and in school. Haunted
by Heroes is a story of family chaos, boys becoming men, and a band’s rockin’
attempt to rise to stardom.

HELL & HIGHWATER - AFRICA
Hell & Highwater - Africa follows the African Rivers
Guide School, possibly the most hardcore whitewater
guide training school in the world. The epic journey of
the school begins on the White Nile in Uganda and
culminates three months later on the treacherous
Zambezi River in Zambia. Traveling more than 5000
miles while running the most monstrous rivers on the
continent, 10 students will be taught by an
international team of instructors led by legendary
South African Pete Meredith. Along with well-known
guides Koryn Gould from New Zealand and Alex Aiken
of Scotland, outdoor enthusiasts from all walks of life
will run the dangerous rapids of Africa in their pursuit to becoming professional
river guides. The students and instructors are not only faced with the challenges
on the river, but also with the harsh reality of life in Africa. Wildlife, disease, food
shortages, language barriers, and civil unrest impose major obstacles. While
many television series have covered the topography and wildlife of Africa, our
cameras go deep into dark river canyons with never-before-seen footage while
documenting the trials and tribulations of the hands-on training. Hell &
Highwater - Africa uses cutting-edge filmmaking and fantastic storytelling that
results in an amazing adventure series where the characters are just as colorful
as the scenery. (http://vimeo.com/ridgelineentertainment/hellandhighwaterafrica)
HELL & HIGHWATER – SEASON TWO
During Season One, we saw seasoned whitewater
school instructors use a unique and controversial “trialby-fire” approach that pushed some students to
become high-level river guides and forced others to
quit out of fear and exhaustion. In Season Two we
follow The Wilderness Adventures Whitewater Guide
School as its instructors once again take students
down some of the most dangerous rivers in the US in
an effort to teach them the skills necessary to become
top river guides. Out in the middle of nowhere in a
high-stressed environment, running on very little sleep,
and danger lurking around every bend, tempers and
drama will flow as fast and furious as the Class 5 rivers. The Wilderness
Adventures Guide School is infamous in the industry for its hands-on, on-river
methodology. While the instructors adamantly believe it is the best way for
potential whitewater guides to learn river running, the extreme conditions both on
and off the river will have some students running for the hills. An hour-long show,
Hell & Highwater Season Two, is sure to be a raging hit with a global audience.

HOUSE CALL VETS
These veterinarians don’t sit around waiting for
sick pets to walk, fly, or slither into their office.
They hop on their Harley Davidson and jump into
their mobile surgery van to rescue trapped
critters, relocate potentially dangerous wildlife,
and save injured and sick animals. Oh, and they
also make house calls. Dr. Sharmyn Clark, Dr.
Julia Morrow, and Vet. Tech, Jen Nugent are
veterans of the animal medicine and surgery
world. In this one small corner of northeast Ohio,
where suburbia and dense forest collide, these
mobile veterinarians have seen it all. From a crazy squirrel destroying someone’s
kitchen to a raccoon stuck in a youth soccer net to a diamond wedding ring stuck
in the belly of a potbelly pig. House Call Vets is more than a show of simple
examinations and immunization shots. The real-life animal rescue and medical
assistance adventures by these brave experts will be pure shots of adrenaline
and excitement for a worldwide audience. In the rural real world, where humans
and wild, domesticated, and feral animals intermingle on a daily basis, there are
many happy endings and sad endings. One thing is for certain, however, when it
comes to House Call Vets - there is no end to the inspiration and drama.
ICE BREAKERS: THE FROZEN INLAND
SEAS
Every winter captains must fight the harsh elements on
The Great Lakes in a quest to deliver critical cargo
without destroying their ships. It's the job of the US
Coast Guard’s Ice Breaker Fleet to clear shipping lanes
of thick layers of ice and rescue stranded vessels that
get stuck. ICE BREAKERS: THE FROZEN INLAND
SEAS explores the icebreaking process and the rescue
operations as these valiant men and women patrol the
frozen inland seas. The Mighty Mackinaw is the largest
and most powerful Ice Breaker of the nine ships and her past endeavors are
legendary. Breaking ice as thick as 10 feet, the “Mighty Mac” has liberated
hundreds of ships trapped in the Great Lakes’ icy grip. The frigid drama on the
water is the ideal complement to the heated drama onboard. Freighter captains
are under strict deadlines, thus stress, anxiety, and anger rise faster than the
winter ice in front of them. It is up to the Ice Breakers to ensure the valuable
cargo is delivered on time and doesn’t end up on the bottom of the lake. While
getting through the thick ice is a slow, painful process, the drama and excitement
is sure to be an exciting, wild ride for audiences across the globe.

LIFEGUARD DOGS
They leap into the water without fear when the call
goes out for help. Be it a sandy beach, a helicopter, or
a speedy boat, there are no second thoughts for these
K-9 lifeguards. While the idea of using canines to
rescue potential drowning victims may sound doggone-crazy, it is not only happening throughout many
European countries, but it is so successful other
countries like Canada and the United States are
starting to follow suit. Sure all they have is a dog
paddle for a stroke, but deploying dogs as lifeguards is
looking to be a stroke of genius. Especially in the case
of the Newfoundland breed, which is perfectly equipped for this type of role
because of its large webbed feet and double oily coat that protects it in frigid
waters. In Italy alone there are more than 300 dogs patrolling the beaches and
according to the Italy Coast Guard help in about 3,000 rescues per year. The
exciting new series LIFEGUARD DOGS will follow these loveable dogs
throughout Italy and a variety of other countries as they truly earn the nickname
of “Man’s Best Friend.” Through the recreation of rescues, highlights of the
rigorous training program, and interviews with coast guard members, witnesses
to rescues, and those who have saved, this exciting new show is sure to rescue
many a bored viewer.(http://vimeo.com/ridgelineentertainment/lifeguarddogs)
RESET
In the world of professional sports, men and women
give their all to be the best in their field. For some, the
pressure of fame is too great and they fall from grace.
With the support of loved ones and superstar mentor
“angels,” such as boxing legend Evander Holyfield
and Olympian and “genius coach” Otto Siegel, Reset
gives these fallen greats a chance to succeed in life
after sports. Each episode features the ongoing
stories of six major athletes struggling to remake their
lives. Players are thrown outside their comfort zones
into a variety of activities, such as laughter yoga,
Zumba dancing, circus animal training, cooking food at a homeless center, and
teaching an elementary school class, in an effort to help them imagine success
beyond sports. The final episodes are an up-to-the minute, freshly taped Reset
wrap-up of their journey; where they started, how far they’ve come, whether they
choked and dropped out, or rallied and triumphed.

ROAD KILL
Call it what you may, “Grill to Grill,” Black Top to
Table Top,” or even “Highway to the High Life,” in
the end Road Kill can only be called one thing:
Grossly Entertaining. Cruising the highways and
byways of the globe for animals that have met their
unfortunate demise, culinary masters and twin
brothers Malcom and Marc Vance look to bring the
salvageable parts of these recently deceased
creatures from “Road to Plate.” From determining if
the meat is still viable for harvest to working with
locals to gain permission to remove the animal, the
two chefs eventually turn their attention to finding
the best recipe to turn the smelly rotting flesh into a fresh, aromatic, tasty dish
worthy of any fine restaurant. Along with insights into how that particular animal
came to its demise and historic background on the animal itself, such as home
range and migratory patterns, Road Kill is sure to be both compelling and
informative. At the end of each 30-minute episode, the two brothers will unveil to
their fancy, yet unknowing guests, that they are not eating beef or chicken, but
moose or armadillo. To their utter surprise and shock, they’ll also learn that the
savory feast lying on the plates in front of them used to be lying on the side of the
road. Because of this, audiences around the globe are sure to find Road Kill
grossly entertaining. (http://vimeo.com/ridgelineentertainment/roadkill)
ROYAL HILLS
When it comes to building a luxury home, just getting
through the design and construction process can be
more dramatic than the finished mansion itself. That is
because with so much invested by the client in terms
of finances and emotion, as well-known developer
Paul Hills puts it, “Homes get personal.” With a client
list that includes some of the wealthiest residents of
Northern California and homes that average more
than 6,000 square feet, Hills and his colleagues at The
Hills Group must deal with personalities and emotions
that run higher than the 20-foot vaulted ceilings they
install. From one customer who throws his wine glass down in disgust on the
newly installed patio pavers to the client who wants to replace her entire kitchen
– 1,000 tiles – because she found one crack in just one tile. With Royal Hills,
audiences will be captivated by the stunning architecture and amazing designs
that go into the opulent dream homes, while the edgy affairs between The Hills
Group and its clients will keep them on the edge of their seats. After all, when it
comes to these Royal Hills, things always get personal.

SECRET FAMILY RECIPE
Picture this...A professional chef of a well-known
restaurant is boasting about his secret recipe for
Jambalaya. It’s so good the restaurant usually runs out
an hour into the dinner rush. The recipe is king for this
chef and he guards it like his own castle. Now imagine
this chef is told he has to compete against another
chef in town to see who cooks the best Jambalaya. Of
course, the chef thinks he’s going to win. One thing he
doesn’t know, however, is that he’s not competing
against any other chef - he’s actually competing
against his own Grandma, the creative culinary genius
behind the Jambalaya recipe in the first place! Each weekly episode features a
chef from a top restaurant, in cities from across the country, going head-to-head
against his or her grandma, mother, uncle, or cousin – the true “tastemaker” who
created the well-known masterpiece. With each new chef, there will be a new
recipe and a heck a lot of surprise and smack talk. While the show focuses on
the chef’s Secret Family Recipe, there’s always a dash of shock and pinch of
tension. (http://vimeo.com/ridgelineentertainment/secretfamilyrecipe)
THIEF HUNTERS
When you have a crime problem, you call the
police. When the police have a crime problem,
they call the “Thief Hunters.” Led by Jason
Cecchettini and his high-tech tracking
equipment, it’s only a matter of time until the
bad guys are caught red handed.
A stolen goods recovery expert, Cecchettini,
uses proprietary technology invented by himself and his company – the same
used in truTV’s popular show “Bait Car” – to help law enforcement agencies and
private businesses around the globe out smart and rein in crooks. The successful
“track” record is so well known in the industry, the Thief Hunters have been called
in to help municipal police departments, business owners, and private citizens
throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. Working
closely with his partner, Manny Leon, an expert in criminal behavior, the two set
well laid out traps in certain areas ridden by crime. This is done by outfitting a
high-priced item with a specially designed and disguised transmitter and placing
“the bait” in a subtle, yet visible location sure to lure in perpetual lawbreakers.
Whether it’s an iPad left in a locked car, copper wiring placed inside a gated
construction site, or Cecchettini’s favorite an expensive mountain bike chained to
a bike rack, the entire 30-minute show is sure to be a wild and humorous ride as
fans get a front row seat as they watch criminals get tempted, lured, and caught
by the Thief Hunters! (http://vimeo.com/ridgelineentertainment/thiefhunters)

SHOWS IN CONCEPT PHASE
ALASKA’S DEATH RUN
For the first time on primetime television, Alaska’s
Death Run follows the stories that unfold every
season on one of the world’s deadliest fishing runs.
Fatalities, injuries, and hard life lessons are all too
common in this epic daily fight against wild predators
and fellow fishermen battling for the same payout the majestic King Chinook Salmon. In the wild terrain
of Alaska, danger lurks everywhere. In the “cutthroat”
fishing world, everyone is the enemy and the run
attracts some of the toughest, meanest, most
interesting characters on the planet. Competition is
so fierce it is not unusual for fishermen to get up at 3
am to stake out their fishing area, only to find they have been duct taped inside
their trailer. In the Alaskan bush, payback is given in spades and people cannot
call 911 for help. How many pounds will they catch? How much is their catch
worth? We track these counts to see who is the real “King of the Death Run.”
This keeps the competitive “game” motif going as seen in “Deadliest Catch.”
There is nothing like it on earth. It is Alaska’s Death Run.
BEYOND BOUNDARIES: ALASKA
Warm Springs Bay, Alaska is home to the Baranof
Wilderness Lodge where each week float planes
arrive with a new group of excited adventurers
ready to embark on a life-changing expedition led
by the lodge’s certified wilderness guide. For the
visiting nature lovers, this is a dream come true.
For those who live and work here, however, each
day is a struggle. Exploring the majesty of the
Alaskan wilderness often comes at a price.
Camping trips can instantly become a desperate
fight for survival against the weather and the
wildlife. The nearest hospital is four hours away
and accessible only by helicopter. Behind the breathtaking scenery, lie isolation,
loneliness, competition, in-fighting, equipment failures, and repair costs that all
threaten the success of the lodge. Every new episode of Beyond Boundaries:
Alaska brings a new set of adventure-seekers to this amazing wilderness lodge,
each one with the potential to become a natural wonder - or a natural disaster!

BULL WARRIORS
In the fast-paced, action-packed life of Championship
Bull Riders, professional athletes risk it all to be the
best of the best in an eight-second fury of flying hooves
and horns. Bull Warriors follows the lives of
professional bull riders and the folks who make it all
happen, from their trainers to the rodeo clowns to the
“buckle bunnies” who follow the riders from rodeo to
rodeo to the wives and families who pick up the pieces
when things fall apart. The pursuit may be eight
seconds of fame, but it's a lifetime of glory, heartache,
and often times despair. It is a hard life, both on and off
the 2,000-pound bulls, and some won’t have the stomach – or guts – for it. As the
riders travel from location to location and event to event, the ups and downs will
be higher and lower than the bull rides themselves. When it comes to Bull
Warriors, audiences across the globe will need to saddle up as the action and
excitement are the best this side of the Rio Grande!
DANGER ZONE
Set your flaps for a hot new competition series that
is certain to raise the bar for high-octane television.
Twelve young male and female competitors from all
walks of life face the wildest reveal of all time - they
are about to become fighter jet pilots! Starting off
learning how to fly a Cessna, a light aircraft, the
competitors will quickly move on to aerobatic stunt
planes where they will learn – and compete – in a
series of mid-air drills and races. After several
rounds of eliminations, the best will move on to L-39
Combat Jets, where they will vie for the title of “Top Gun” as they go through a
number of simulated air-to-ground combat missions, pylon races, and “dogfights.” Following FAA-approved training guidelines and safety regulations,
Danger Zone is sure to be a high-flying, nail-biting, dog-eat-dog show packed
with excitement, drama, and supersonic fun. Many will burn out, while others will
literally spin and of control. In the end, there will be a few “Ice Men” who rival
Goose and Maverick in their quest to be the next “Top Gun.”
TAHOE – BATTLE AGAINST WINTER
This new series follows the unique characters that live
and work at the major ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe
region. In addition to the omnipresent avalanche
danger, there are many life-threatening situations that
arise daily in the alpine environment. Up in the high
sierra where temperatures can plunge well below
freezing, just minutes may be the difference between
13
rescuing an injured person or retrieving a body. In the style of “Deadliest Catch,”
Tahoe - The Battle Against Winter is shot in a fluid modern style with the
camera crews actually living among the characters they are filming. This allows
them to capture every minute of the action. Wrap all of this around the “Jewel of
the Sierra Nevada” and you have one hip, slick, cool show.
ULTIMATE MOTOR-HEAD CHALLENGE
Two teams, two cars, one epic day. Teams compete
in a head-to-head competition to see who can build
the best car through a series of
“riveting” challenges. Whether it’s for a drag race or
a rock-crawling competition, Ultimate Motor-Head
Challenge is a fast-paced, adrenaline-based show
sure to entertain and inform. The competition is
broken into three segments over one day. Teams
have three hours to prepare their cars for each
specific challenge. After the first, a selected
professional driver will run both vehicles through the
designed course and a panel of judges will score
the car on performance, style, and visuals. It is then right back to the shop where
each team will receive instructions on what they need to do to rebuild the car for
a completely different style of race. For the third and final challenge, there is only
a riddle provided. The teams must decipher the mental puzzle and build their car
accordingly. This will lead to some funny, interesting moments and some serious
breakdowns. Each weekly 30-minute show is sure to not only bring out the
mechanic and car enthusiast in all of us, but also our inner child as the action
revs up as professional drivers hit the oval tracks and off-road courses around
the globe. Hands down, when it comes to auto-based reality shows, Ultimate
Motor Head Challenge is head and shoulders above the rest.

BLOODLINES IN THE SAND
(Documentary)
For centuries, the men of the Gulf region were the
fastest men on earth. The reason? They had the
strongest, hardiest machine at the time; the Arabian
Horse. The endurance capabilities of these
majestic beasts of burdens were unparalleled and
have remained supreme throughout history as a
direct result of the exceptional care that was taken
to manage their breeding and protect their genetic
lines. The backbone of the story is the famous Abu
Dhabi Endurance Race (H.H. The President’s Cup),
13395 New Airport Rd, Ste. B, Auburn, CA 95602 – (530) 820-3745
14
which provides an exciting story arc while the audience gets a first-hand account
of the racers’ family ties to the great leaders of the Gulf who fought to protect
their horses’ bloodlines. As the Arabian Horse is now found around the world, this
timeless saga crosses cultural and geographical borders and will appeal to a
global audience. It will entertain as much as educate as it delves into the positive
aspects of the Arab culture, while also examining the unique man-horse
relationship that has existed throughout history. As a feature film, it will be
breathtaking; produced in ultra-high 4K resolution using high-speed cameras,
biomedical and biomechanical animation, and aerial photography. Bloodlines in
the Sand may be about the Arabian Horse and its amazing role in the history of
the gulf region, but the true inner story will strike a nerve in all of us.

arguably the most incredible endurance event ever to take place. And the world
will get to see it live on Facebook. Putting the word “long” into long-distance,
seven runners will compete in seven marathons in seven days on seven different
continents (Antarctica, Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, and North
America). While it may sound crazy, crazy, crazy, The 777 is sure to be an actionpacked, must-see event. With so much on the line, so much stress, and so many
locations to get to, the off-course drama may heat up faster than the runners’
core temperatures. Not only do these runners have to finish each 26.2 race, but
also they have to successfully get to the next location, which is on a completely
different continent! It might seem impossible on a runner’s standpoint and a
logistical one, but the seven incredible athletes are up for the challenge. There is
also a major airline (Air New Zealand) ready and able to make sure this amazing
first-time global endurance endeavor takes place for the world to see. For some
there is one marathon in a lifetime. For others there is one marathon in one year.
Then there are those of The 777!

SWIM THE BIG BLUE (November 2015)
With sharks, jellyfish, huge waves, strong riptides, and
extremely cold temperatures, taking a swim in the
ocean can be a daunting task. Luckily, the shore is
always close by. When Ben Hooper enters the water
for Swim the Big Blue, that shore will be a whopping
2,000 miles away as he looks to become the first man
in history to swim across the Atlantic Ocean.
Hooper’s epic swim will chart a course from Dakar,
Senegal to Natal, Northern Brazil across the open
Mid-South Atlantic Ocean. Using freestyle swimming, he will swim up to 12 hours
per day. Between his planned two six-hour swim sessions, he will take two hours
off to rest on the support boat. He will also sleep on the boat at night. Each time
he exits, the crew will GPS the position so he enters the water at the exact
location he exited the night before. Swimming in sea temperatures ranging from
20 – 30 degrees centigrade, (68 – 86 Fahrenheit) through waves that could be as
high as 30 feet, and battling the elements as well as the potentially deadly wildlife
and the harsh Equatorial sun, the 2,000 trans-Atlantic journey will be the ultimate
test of mental and physical endurance. It will also be the first time in recorded
history anybody has swum any of the major oceans.
THE TEVIS CUP 100-MILES ONE DAY
RIDE (August 1, 2015)
The Tevis Cup 100-Miles One Day Ride is
recognized as one of the world’s best tests of
true horsemanship and is the founding
modern-day equestrian event of its kind in the
world. The Tevis Cup 100-Miles One Day Ride
also represents a commitment to the ideals of
a pioneering experience along historically significant trails that traverse the
scenic wilderness of the Sierra Nevada from Olympic Valley to Auburn, Ca. Since
the origin of modern-day endurance riding that started with this event in 1955,
thousands of horsemen and their athletic steeds have sought to overcome the
challenges involved with the Tevis Cup. Among its many alumni are the world’s
top experts of American and International horsemanship. The founders of the
Tevis Cup event offered their vision of a majestic riding trail penetrating the wild
beauty of mountain peaks and valleys hallowed as sacred grounds by the local
Washoe and Maidu tribes. These founders declared that the virtue of such a trail
would help preserve the historic significance of its route and encourage people to
return to a simple life, furthering the appreciation of nature, history, and the
outdoors. For one long, tough day, horsemen from all over the globe will trade
their hectic world of traffic jammed freeways and skyscrapers for a realm of
natural splendor inside cathedral-like groves of pine and fir forests. Therein lies
the essence of The Tevis Cup and the historic Western States Trail.

The Western States® 100-Mile Endurance Run is the
world’s oldest and most prestigious 100-mile trail race.

SOCIAL MEDIA BROADCASTING – SMACKDAB
Thanks to SmackDab – www.smackdab.com - the future
of video broadcasting has arrived!
An interactive synced-viewing experience that takes
place within online data-rich environments, such as
Facebook, “Social Broadcasting” is the next innovative
step in the field of digital television. This groundbreaking
form of broadcasting allows unprecedented direct social
engagement between viewers as they watch a show or
live event, while providing the catalyst for building
relationships between brands and the specific audiences they seek.
Utilizing direct access to Facebook’s LIVE data stream, Social Broadcasting
allows for the creation of custom audiences - those who
have actively engaged or “actioned” on a brand and
those who are already fans of the respective company,
event, artist, sport, interest, or subject. It even allows for
the targeting of all Facebook users who have actioned
on a brand’s competitors.
An elegant user experience, Social Broadcasting
platform provides true interactivity in a hyper-social
form. Viewers can directly engage with the broadcast by
17
sharing content with other viewers, Skype in to join the show, and even provide
video content though a downloadable App that transforms a mobile phone into a
LIVE camera. Of course it also allows viewers to chat with one another in realtime in a public or friend’s-only forum, and with those directly involved with the
show, such as the actors, athletes, event producers, moderators, or brand
representatives.
Reaching beyond simple online events,
Social Broadcasts are designed to
garner significant attention from
traditional media, including television,
radio, and print, which will greatly aid in
the “organic” promotion of the events.
This is accomplished through the use
of primary stories that are of global
importance, such as a world-record
sports attempt. These main stories
become the backbone of the broadcast
event, enticing both news media and
viewers with their trackable elements. They also allow, however, for segues to
additional “parallel events” and spectacles, which add greatly to the overall
texture of the event.
Social Broadcast events have the tendency to grow over time as viewers, enticed
by the trackable nature of the primary story and by wanting to see the exciting
parallel events, come back time and time again. This leads to an organic viral
growth as viewers invite their friends to participate, and those friends invite their
friends, and so on and so on. The overall goal of Social Broadcasting is to create
highly engaging, LIVE social gatherings within social media that keep viewers
coming back for more.
And with a Facebook audience of 1.3 billion global active users and more than
750 million daily users, SmackDab is the ideal “social” video platform to launch
such a broadcast.
