• Sprint is proud to serve as the nation’s largest 711 Telecommunications Relay

Service (TRS) provider over the last 22 years. Sprint currently provides relay services in 30 states and exclusively for the federal government, as well as New Zealand.

• Sprint also services as the nation’s largest provider of captioned telephone services. Our rich history includes being the first to provide video relay services in 1995, the first to provide nationwide speech to speech services in 1998, and the first to provide relay conferencing captioning starting in 2002.

• Sprint Relay provides both wireline and wireless communications options at no additional cost including:

– enables individuals who are deaf, have a hearing

loss or speech disability to communicate via a landline phone, computer or

wireless device through trained Relay Operators.

– similar to a traditional landline telephone that

provides a display screen for individuals to read everything their caller is saying.

– n app that provides live, real-time text streamed

captions which appear on a user’s Android wireless device to read while listening

and speaking to their caller.

– an app that enables users to make and receive relay

calls on an Android or iOS wireless device and includes features such as Spanish,

changeable font size and access to Sprint Relay Customer representatives.

– a single download of Android-based apps that includes

voice mail transcripts, visual and vibrating alerts and readable captions.

Sprint Wireline Speech-to-Speech and “My Wireless Speech-to-Speech” – enables individuals with speech disabilities to access state and national

Speech to Speech (STS) services via wireline or wireless device; users can also

dial *787 on any Sprint wireless device to place a STS operator-assisted STS call.

• Sprint provides a wide selection of hearing aid and TTY compatible wireless devices along with a discounted Sprint Relay Store Data Only Plan to accommodate customers not wishing to purchase voice services as part of their wireless service plan.

FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE BLIND OR VISUALLY IMPAIRED

• Sprint is the only U.S. wireless carrier in the world to offer Code Factory’s awardwinning Mobile Accessibility application free of charge. It is offered under the name

Wireless Accessibility. The app allows people who are blind or have low vision to use an Android phone in an easy and simple way and is available to Sprint, Boost

Mobile Android devices which includes prepackaged applications designed to accommodate various accessibility needs. Some of the services these applications provide include:

– Allowing a user to operate a smartphone without the need to see or read what

is being displayed on the screen.

– Reading RSS news feeds and navigating users through YouTube entertainment

content using high-quality text-to-speech voices.

– Providing navigational assistance to users who are either driving or walking

through GPS-based applications.

– Identifying and locating items around the home and the workplace.

• Sprint offers wireless devices with text-to-speech functionality which can read aloud text messages, menu settings, and phone display information such as battery level, signal strength, time and date.

FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE COGNITIVELY OR MOBILITY IMPAIRED

• Sprint offers wireless devices with features like picture caller identification, voice recognition, hands-free operation and automatic answer.

• The Speech-to-Speech service offered with Sprint Relay is often a preferred choice for customers who have suffered a stroke, head injury, seizures or other types of cognitive impairments.

• The Google Play and Apple storefronts contain a growing list of applications that may assist customers with cognitive and mobility impairments.

FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE SENIORS

• Sprint offers the Active Senior ID pack which installs 20 senior-friendly applications and services including AARP, WebMD, and safety apps such as Fall Detector and

ICE (In Case of Emergency).

• The Samsung M400, a wireless feature phone that offers adjustable font sizes, text-to-speech functionality, a dedicated 911 key and an In

Case of Emergency (ICE) button.

FOR CUSTOMERS NEEDING

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

• Sprint offers Assurance Wireless, a no-contract plan that offers a wireless phone, 250 minutes of free wireless voice minutes and 250 free text messages each month to eligible residents in more than

35 states where available. Assurance

Wireless is a Lifeline Assistance program from Virgin Mobile USA supported by the federal Universal Service Fund.
