Leveling the playing field for English language learner students
Facilitated by Andrew Cockrell (Political Science)
In this workshop participants learn about the findings of a recent pilot
program at UW where ELL students in an intro-level social sciences course
performed just as well as other students in the course. While discussing
these findings, participants will learn simple course design elements,
teaching strategies, and assessment practices that support the academic
work of ELL and of all students.
